Hello gang, hopefully you can help. Basically my LCT AKM failed it's chrono on site today which was super frustrating because it's still pretty new. This was the first time it had been tested though. It scored between 356 and 368 on a 0.25 with a bit of hop applied. I assume this is the spring being too mighty? Or is there another potential culprit? Thanks in advance

Nice, I too had a pleasant day clattering around the woods in the sun. Slightly marred by the fact that my AK failed chrono so what was going to be my proper first go with it ended up with me using a rental again. Ho hum. Still had a great day with no drama on site and everyone just having a laugh.

Yeah, as a new player myself I can attest to this, to the extent that my first session I felt like it was potentially not something I wanted to bother with. Glad I stuck with it though and went off to figure out what I could do to feel less like a moving target...

Picked up a smaller chest rig earlier and I think I'm pretty happy with it, I found my plate carrier obstructed my shouldering the weapon so this is ideal. Going for a sort of not jeans and plaid shirt PMC look, next step grow a big beard right?

True, there is a semi-only rule in the buildings. I'd kinda forgotten about that . I guess I can use the rubber knife Hopefully the shop can fix the issue and let me know what caused it.

Hey, it was just the 7.4v LiPo the shop said was the one to go with, does that sound wrong? I play at a site with full-auto allowed so not a massive deal if it can't be fixed I guess but not ideal for a first trip out with it!

Took my almost new AK out to an indoor range which was pretty cool until it crapped itself and started firing multiple shots on semi-auto. Bit disheartening since it's my first one but the shop said they'll look at it under warranty so hopefully it's not a lemon!

Had a good day too, played until about 3pm and was wet through but enjoyed it immensely! Sadly not everyone shares my enthusiasm for being out in the rain though so our teams were much diminished by the last game. Eye pro was much better with the Sawfly plus inserts solution so I could see way better than with the paintball mask. Just looking at when I can squeeze a game in around the six nations for Feb now!

Thanks @Skara that's most helpful. I wasn't sure how to explain 'upgraded from the box' in a more clear way to be honest, just 'better' didn't really work. Maybe I should have gone with "bells and whistles included"

Hey, So I'm still very new to this but so far I've very much enjoyed playing and the support from this forum. I've booked myself in for a couple more games and unless something dramatic happens and I change my mind I'll be able to buy myself a RIF early next year. I want a tactical/contractor look AK (yeah heretic here) or maybe the Vityaz but there's so much information and quite a few options that it's a bit bewildering to be honest. Some of this is a bit long-term thinking. I don't want to waste my money but i'm not going to be a cheapskate about it if it's worth spending more. i; how important is a MOSFET really? It protects the trigger contacts right so is it only necessary with higher voltage batteries? ii; is it worth it to get a built in ETU? I suspect not for a beginner as I won't know much different? iii; it seems that the general consensus is that no matter what AEG you buy you will have to upgrade/fix it at some point so is it best to get one that has good availability of parts and upgrades? iv; is it therefore better to simply buy a steel CYMA or an LCT and prepare to buy improved internals or is it ever worth it to simply buy something that seems upgraded out of the box like the Arcturus AK12 Perun https://www.taiwangun.com/assault-rifle-aeg/at-ak12-pe-2-burst-mode-ready-arcturus-2 . Since I wouldn't know what improvements to buy over time it's hard to calculate the 'value'. v; how difficult is upgrading an AK RIF going to be? Cheers dudes

Yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed Combat Airsoft and have booked to go again in the new year. My enthusiasm may have created a monster though as now quite a few of the blokes I work with want to come along too! Similar situation to what you said about Tuddenham PB2, you go out for a few hours at a time so taking enough BB's and a drink out is a must really

Had an great day of getting shot at, thoroughly enjoyed charging around the woods today. 100% confident I got pewed more than I pewed anyone else but not gonna worry about that Only slight issue was my glasses fogged up pretty badly and kinda ruined one game. I might see about getting the shooting glasses style with the prescription inserts, does anyone have any help on that eye protection for glasses wearers front please?

Hey, I'm just starting but Battle Stations at Snetterton seemed pretty good and was really busy last Saturday, all the regulars said they love it. It's a CQB site, my own rental wasn't exactly awesome but some of that might be operator error I spoke with a few people and they had good things to say about Combat Airsoft near Thetford which I'm going to try out on Sunday (i'll post to say how it goes) and one guy said they really liked the woodland site at Swaffham but I don't know much at all about it beyond that. Pretty sure there are events at Tuddenham (near Mildenhall) too but i got nothing there beyond they exist!

Yeah, it was a bit much for me maybe! Was fun but perhaps a touch too chaotic and those grenades are bloody scary in a confined space! 😆

Just got back from my first attempt and it was pretty good. Not going to rush off and get even more stuff just yet though. Might try a woodland style game next instead of CQB, that might be more my style?

Having never fired anything more than spring weapons in my back garden I'm pretty much clueless! I've got a mask to wear and a cheerful disposition, is that enough?
