All sorted! Sear was binding on the bolt and you could see marks. Little bit od 800 wet and dry and some autosol has cured the issue! Now this is fun! HPA set up completed (almost as waiting on larger clips to allow box mag wiring to run with line too). Came out pretty well I think and zero issues.

Hi all. Picked up a new M249 yesterday and have an issue. The trigger sear appears to be hit and miss, sometimes not releasing the bolt. Tried lubricating everything and the issue persists. You can see the bolt move very sightly and nothing? Any thoughts? IMG_8857.mp4

Can anyone recommend an adapter for the ODIN that fits well with the E and L AK mags? possibly a link?

So I have a new Ak sitting in a box in my loft and would like to get some real wood on it. I have seen pics of it done but no one so far has been able to point me in the right direction for a compatible set? Does anyone have a type 3 converted and how was it done and using what wood work?

Has anyone had experience using Airsmiths? looking at an MTW purchase including signature upgrade but want to know if I will receive the removed parts as spares? Not been able to contact them at all and just a tad nervous about spending a lot of cash with a company that I cannot contact.

Anyone got recommendations for a hop rubber and nub to lift .28? Everything else standard.

So this is what happens when you lend out your 416 NGRS! how??? Luckily I have managed to source replacement hop bodies. 2 Ultimate, 2 WII tech and 2 originals. These things are like rocking horse poo Ultimate units need a little fettling, file down front face of hop are housing to allow it to move forward enough for body pin insertion, double wings made level with opposite single one and nozzle housing opened up a fraction with wet and dry paper. Being alloy they should have zero chance of breakage. Pleased to report Ultimate unit works a treat! WII tech ones are great quality but do not work as there is no front ring on the hop body to allow the hop clip to sit on. Been in touch with WII tech and they are amending the description on their website. Originals turned up today and Ultimate ones are going in to the spares box. Eagle6 and Fire support were unable to help.

Anyone got an idea where I could source a new hop unit to fit my TM 416 NGRS? Managed to shear the feed tube off! Cannot find anything available ?

IMG_9249.MOV Warhead 35k base motor also installed. That was probably more difficult than the Leviathan! Picked up a motor with the leads rather than tabs which made life a little difficult! managed to get it inside the grip and put a little black electrical tape over connections just as a precaution.

Initial draft of Part 2 now done. I would appreciate any feedback you may have on these guides, positive or negative. There is only so much you can add in and as much as I would have liked to include things like shimming , AOE correction etc, I just don't have the time. There is a bit in the guide regarding bushings and again, I just highlighted the method used during this second TM Storm build. There are other methods, such as press fitting or opening up holes for 6mm bushings (which I have done on a fair few 416 and MK18 builds)and some people stay away from loctite. Personal preference regarding this I think. I now have a third Storm to upgrade ( liked it so much I brought my own!) and will be fine tuning the install.I will be dropping the bolt stop signal wire gauge to 28 AWG for ease of routing. This next build also has all the toys from Warhead motor to Prometheus cylinder head so will be interesting to see how that performs as I would like to drop to an M90 spring while maintaining around 350fps on .20. To confirm, a V3 but the Leviathan were sold out? So not a Leviathan V3 optical then? I have just completed a second Storm upgrade for a client and again no issues although gears were replaced with a Prometheus EG set. The V3 optical is looking at the cam under the sector gear. If you hold the box up to your eye, you can see if the sensors are in line with it.

Originally the idea was for a video but I just could not get it right so resorted to this. Hopefully of use to Storm owners out there?!

Hi all I have started putting together a guide for the TM Storm. Pt 2 will include fitting of new bushings, gears and a Leviathan V3 Optical ETU. No mods to the gearbox required other than taking the edge off the cut out that the selector plate moves over, just to avoid sticker damage. The sticker has to be placed slightly differently and as per the image for it to work correctly with the Storm. I am actually going to try and do a full guide as I have a second Storm here to be upgraded and just waiting on the V3 to turn up (they are like rocking horse poop at the moment it seems!) Biggest headache was getting wiring back through the small channel in the forward section. I used 26 swg wire for the bolt stop signal and had originally heat shrinked it but that proved too wide a diameter. I removed the heat shrink and it went together ok. No sharp edges along the route so happy with that.

Is it standard or do you have a mosfet installed? The bolt catch sits on top of the small lever that you can see in the mag well in first picture. Is it sitting correctly? the black bit is the bolt stop catch and it sits above the silver bolt stop mechanism which you can see just above the mag release spring. You can see the bolt stop mechanism in the second photo I just took so should make a bit more sense? bolt catch sits on top of bolt stop mechaism where red arrow is pointing. If it's stiff then remove gear box and a little grease under the mechanism can help. Unhook the littles spring though before removing the screw!

Hi all Thought I would share my latest upgraded TM Storm NGRS project. Fitted a Leviathan V3 optical, Steel F.L.T 5.9mm bushings, Prometheus 18:1 EG gear set, Prometheus spring guide and M95 spring to get power up to around 340fps on 0.20. I went Leviathan as the option is available for an external input and I used this to operated the bolt stop feature. Using the Gate mosfet was a no go for me as the bolt stop feature simply breaks the negative line to the battery and therefore power removed. Re racking bolt would restore power but then you have a 3 second period where you enter programming mode before you can pull the tigger. There is not much information around on the Storm and upgrades so hopefully I will get time to write something up as I took photos of most of the process. IMG_8953 2.MOV

So stripped the 416 and had all the parts laid out on my desk. Somehow the small buffer tube wire cover has decided to part company! Anyone got any ideas where I could find another or has one spare at all? Typically none in stock anywhere! I have a suspicion it stuck itself to the bottom of a package that my other half placed on my desk, grrrrrrr.
