All sorted! Thanks for the help guys! I ended up stripping down the top half of gearbox again, cleaning and greasing everything and putting it all back together carefully checking everything as I went. I know I should've done that in the first place (lesson learned!) Just in time for pewpew day tomorrow 😁 thanks again!

Thank you, I will check them tomorrow. I checked the bucking earlier, and when I dropped the BB into the hopup, the bucking stopped the BB from rolling down the barrel, is that right, or should it roll freely?

Yea I got confused and chose to put it back together lol i haven't touched the gears, just the spring, piston, tappet plate and air nozzle. When I try to fire it, the gears cycle, and the gun does actually fire, like I can hear it, and it sounds perfectly fine. However it has trouble feeding, occasionally some BBS will fire, other times they will kind of dribble out the end of the barrel, sometimes they will stick in the hopup. No, when I've reopened it, the tappet plate spring is still attatched

So my friend built me an aeg, it's an ics body, kwa barrel with a split gear box, MOSFET, looks sexy, and I was super happy with it. Admitted the FPS wasn't great, but the accuracy and range were impressive. He suggested I could replace the spring if I wanted abit more power, so I tried changing it, and now I'm having feeding issues, but I'm not sure why. Can upload pics and videos and offer more info. Just putting feelers out if anyone has any ideas. Cheers

It's a lancer tactical with a specna arms gearbox with microswitch trigger, and specna arms 16:1 high speed gears. After dry firing without the barrel attached, I've realised it's only when a seal is created over the air nozzle (such as when it's firing bbs) that it only fires auto, without a seal it fires auto or semi, depending on what mode I'm in

So my AEG will fire semi or auto when unloaded, same when loaded with an empty mag, but when loaded with bb's it only fires auto. Thought it might have been the mag compressing things, but like I said it's only when I put bbs through it that it only fires auto

So update, been firing it this morning and it seems to have sorted itself out, nice and snappy, no auto on semi...thanks for the replies guys 😁

So, I got an AEG (lancer tactical LT12) a few months ago, and there's been numerous issues with it, including the gearbox seizing up, firing multiple BB's at once, making a terrible noise. And after many attempts at fixing it, including replacing the piston, the spring guide, the battery, a whole new set of gears, a new motor, replacing a mechanical trigger with an ETU and a whole new gearbox shell, it's finally working, fires accurately, consistently, has a nice sound, however on semi auto I've noticed it fires auto from time to time. Not often enough to cause a problem, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, thanks!

I did notice a double eagle that seemed legit, but again mixed reviews, it's so hard to know which way to go

Any thoughts on this gun? Had a look and as with most guns for this price I've heard mixed views, just after something reliable thats decent straight from box

Welcome my dude! I've only been playing for about 6 months, after some mates at work suggested giving it a go, were all factory workers, and not exactly the picture of health, but through out covid I've let myself go, and being a smoker my stamina isn't great. All that said, the site we use, are very welcoming, and none of us get penalised. Hell, once there was only like 6 of us (3 on 3) and cause there were times I didn't see anyone to shoot, after running around a little, I made a joke of it and started yelling, "are we done playing hide and seek?" Then when out of breath, "wooo! I need to stop smoking" 🤣 the thing is, don't take it too seriously, were mostly grown men playing toy soldiers. So far everyone has been welcoming and inclusive. Dive in mate! Hope it works out for you 👍

Thanks for the advice! That was the conclusion I was coming to before I found the SA gearbox, can you suggest anything reliable? can go upto £200, just don't wanna get burned again like I did with the lancer...rushed into that, just wanted to have my own AEG. Lesson learned!

I've been playing airsoft for about 6 months, with some mates from work, and as soon as we all realised we loved it, we bought our own guns. I regrettably bought a lancer tactical lt-12, and had nothing but issues with it. Me and a friend tried sorting it ourselves, hence not being able to return it. The other day I noticed that the gearbox was cracked, and is now unusable, I was looking at replacing the gearbox completely, so looked into buying a complete gearbox, would this one fit into my lancer tactical body?
