Deadpool (Soft Pool?) 2.0 got some photos yesterday. I'd done a cosplay show earlier and thought I'd get some shots with the shiny new drum Deagles. I'm also making an appearance at LAC's zombie night next month, so I got some shots of the Zombie Pool mask too. Not gonna be to everyone's taste, but I usually get a few laughs (and shot in the ass a lot! 😆)

The first obstacle to overcome would be fitting rails on the heat shield as there is currently no commercially available alternate with rails. I had to go through a laborious process of finding the right-sized rail (and filing the back down), buying longer right-sized screws (3 attempts) and buying a backplate that married up to the rail (2 attempts). Even now, it's sturdy enough to support the torch, but doubtful it would stay put with a grip bearing the weight of the gun. Then you'd have to really consider why you'd want a canted grip on an airsoft SMG when the magazine grip is so comfortable. Maybe pseudo-Sterling vibes? So yes, I'd say it possible (as is attaching a grip to every magazine), but it would be a lot of work to achieve and, IMHO, not worth it. Seems like a Jurassic Park analogy would go well here. 😄 I make it approximately 15mm. RPK pouches are a good shout. I might look into that, cheers. I'm looking to replace the whole rig with MM-14 camo and there's a chance I might find them in that pattern. 🤔

I love it, but I've wanted one for about 25 years. This one's on the gun picture thread as I finally finished it this week. It's Cyma, but one of their more expensive models, so as stock it performs as well as you'd expect. Obviously, the real niche is the magazine. Reloading takes some drilling but I've got it down to about 5-6 seconds now (mag out, new mag in, old mag in pouch). The low-caps hold about 190 BBs and I tend to run 4 + 1 hi-cap backup (~1000). Magazine storage seems to be an issue for many but I repurposed my P90/UMP double mag pouches and they're perfect. Ergonomically, it's well balanced, heavy (full metal) and the chunky 'foregrip' of the magazine feels great in my clown-sized hands 😄. I completely removed the stock on mine as a preference for airsoft, but it can be operated with the stock folded usually. Accessories are limited, even by AK standards. I had to fit the 2 front side rails myself using a massively over-engineered improv. The shortened cover and receiver may also cause problems. Obviously, there's no front grip options. Mine's been kitted out with Zenitco repros and other Russian stuff simply for authenticity- style beats substance for me every time. All told, it's my current favourite (don't tell my KS-1 😄), but I'd certainly recommend holding one before you pull the trigger on a shopping cart, as it does seem to be a bit 'Marmite'. Sorry if that was TMI...

Ukrainian DIU loadout. Genuine Ukrainian MTP, patches and cap badge. The left arm patch patch was a gift. 😁 The Bizon was clearly liberated from an ageing Spetsnaz operator.

My third RIF post this week... It's been about 30 years since I first wanted an airsoft Bizon and thanks to AliExpress, the final piece arrived today, nearly 2 months after ordering: the OKP-7 RDS (which came in a suspiciously Russian box, with Russian instructions 🤔). I've tried to keep it as authentic as possible by using Russian kit and Zenitco repro furniture. Currently clearing every room in my house like some bat-wearing ninja. 😄 Parts list: Cyma PP-19 Bizon-2 AEG Platinum gearbox, Laylax 6.03mm barrel, ML bucking and nub OKP-7 red dot sight, flip-up lense protector [5KU] PBS-1 mini suppressor Painstakingly fitted front rails at 3 and 9 [WADSN] K-2P flashlight [5KU] Zenitco B-13 optic mount [5KU] Zenitco PK-3 grip [Hephaestus] (modified) Stock rail adaptor

Great job, bud! My build's coming along nicely, but without the proper handguard and barrel, it's more of a KS-2 at the moment. The optic paint is a primer, until I can get the right khaki colour. I'm still holding out for a repro Vortex AMG 1-10, so I can replace the Vortex Razor repro that's on there now, though.🫢
-
I put one of my 'spare' full-auto Deagles in a PCC kit to use with my Cyberpunk loadout. Finally finished the paint job and salvaged an optic that works. Pretty happy with the result (especially the burnished muzzle 😁). Not gonna be to everyone's taste, but you don't see a lot of Deagle PCCs, right?

My Deadpool loadout got some new props today. I've retired my old Cybergun KWA autos for something more up-to-date 😁. Because these are Cybergun WE, the mags aren't compatible, annoyingly. So rather than buy another 8 mags to make them skirmishable, I got some DP-themed drums instead... and I can't stop laughing at them. 😆

Took advantage of the good weather to take stock of the armoury so far. A fairly good mix of new with (very) old, classic with quirky.
-
The RIF I wanted so bad, that when I joined these forums 20+ years ago, my username was 'Bison Hunter' ?. I got a custom made from a TM Beta Spetsnaz but it wasn't really skirmishable. Then I quit the hoppy and came back 15 years later to find that Bizons had basically been and gone... until Patrol Base got some stock in at the same time I got a work bonus. I've had it 3 weeks and decided I wanted to remove the stock completely and cover the exposure at the back. This required an adaptor that itself required some angle grinder attention. But now with the RK-3 grip, B-13 mount (both with funky Russian language on them), and PBS-1 can, it's almost my dream RIF. In lieu of a decent Kobra sight, I have a C More sight on the way, so the nasty one on here is a placeholder. First game on Sunday and I just can't wait! ?

It's cool of you to pose the question. You don't see many HPA players saying "I can fire in semi at 1000rpm, is it uncool of me to use .4s in CQB and spam the trigger?". Like others, I haven't been to a site that bans multi-shot shotties. I think it's one area where the rule of cool actually wins out over nitpicking. That is, many semi-only sites are CQB sites and adopt it for safety. Many shotguns are lower power/accuracy than AEGs and can only really be competitive in CQB. My local site does prohibit binary triggers but again, that's mainly in response to HPA uesrs overshooting. P.S. Sorry to be so down on HPA users, but it is my lived experience that on aggregate, they are the least sporting airsoft players I ever encounter.

My first AR platform is my take on a KS-1, using an EMG/Ares SR-16E Mod 2. Yes, the optics are wrong, but I don't have the £6K needed for an actual Vortex AMG and there's no replicas out there yet. The colours are also off, but give it a few years and all the issued KS-1s will all look like this ?. All told, I'm happy with it, despite the dramas I had getting the base RIF. I hope it performs well enough. @PopRocket123 I said I would win you over with my next project. So am I getting better? ?
-
Cyberpunk-inspired Arasaka Security Division loadout. Got my first proper run with it yesterday. It was well received, especially by fans of the game.
-
Challenge accepted. I'll win you over with my next project, I'm sure. ?
-
The RIF itself and the LED torch unit in the front grip cavity. The PEQ has the battery pack for the electroluminescent wiring. ? What? You don't think a gas 6-shot shotgun is an elegant solution for the minimum engagement distance? It's quicker than drawing a sidearm, has a better hit probability and sounds awesome. What's not to like? (Other than it contributes to the 6.6kg overall weight, making it somewhat front heavy ?)
-
Hot off the back of my ghillie stuff, here's something completely different: The Arasaka JKE-X3 Akaoni Carbine Prototype. It's loosely based on the JKE-X2 Kenshin from Cyberpunk 2077 and was built to compliment my 'Cyber Ninja' loadout I've been using recently. Definitely not to everyone's taste, but it might float a boat or two. It features: Sound-activated electroluminescent wiring, multi-coloured LEDs in the grip, a sound+IR activated round counter, a muzzle flash tracer and few other nice touches. All-in, 6 different power sources ?. Built on the SSE18 platform.
-
Finally got around to picking up the handguard extension for my SCAR-H DMR. After all the pain of fitting it, I'm not sure I prefer it over the shorter version I was rocking, simply for where the grip and Masterkey now sit (which are a bit too far forward). It's ironic because it was the PR I wanted originally but I couldn't find one at a decent price. Still, it gave me a chance to redress the cam on the rifle and take some shots along the way. Feeling much better now. ?
-
New pew today ?. Since using my lad's SSE18, I've wanted one for my ghillie rig, but I've decided to dual-purpose it for my cyberpunk CQB setup. The massive holo is a placeholder until my low-profile (red) red dot arrives, but I'm starting to get attached to it, whilst tactically sweeping my house over and over. The amplifier was primarily cosmetic but it definitely makes the pistol sound less anaemic. Also missing is a red flared mag well, as it was out of stock. She's ugly, but that's kind of the point. ? Once it's complete, the real project begins: Integral torch, using the foregrip cavity, and LED lighting in the rear carbine cavity... all for the cyberiness. ?
-
It's almost like my subconscious has seen that before and drove me to replicate the shape. ? I love it. What is it?
-
'Cyber Ninja' loadout complete and tested ?. It got a bit warm, but folks seemed to enjoy it. I'm glad to report the extra Heroshark eye pro wasn't needed as the mask held up to some intense CQB action. I'm still not gambling, but it was surprising it didn't shatter.
-
Finally got inspired to remove the magazine cover from my Secutor Velites GII M870. Turns out it was really easy and just needed a squeeze to unhook - not the strip-down I imagined. This has allowed me to repurpose an electric drum magazine I had on an old springer. It's a stocky little thing now but should get a lot more use, as I won't need to reload every 5 shots. ?
-
(Re-posted as I put it in the wrong place previously) WIP experiment in 'cyber ninja' loadout. Pretty sure the mask won't hold up to a heavy hit, so I've got eye pro underneath (and replacement panels are dirt cheap). Got some tabi boots on the way and I'll probably use the swords from my Deadpool set-up to finish the look. Emphasis is purely on mobility. It's refreshingly lightweight and agile, and should bring a few smiles.?

Lightweight/Smaller guns under £200?
Sifu Steve replied to mallomiu's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
Sorry... I posted this in the wrong thread. What an amateur. -
Budget leaf suit, aka Kicking Donkey Concealment System. Just about ready for field (forest) testing. I think if I'm going to stick with the autumn leaves, I need to cluster them better though.
