G&G are the Ford/Vauxhall of the airsoft world. They know how to make an airsoft gun that is usually reliable enough to get you through a game but don't expect anything amazing out of the box out of the box and I certainly wouldn't give them top-dollar for a stock gun. That Cobalt Kinetics gun is absurdly over-priced. However if my budget for a primary was circa £300 for everything, I'd go for a G&G ARP9, 1500 round drum mag, 3 x 1100mAh 11.1V Lipo's, 200mm ZCI barrel, mock suppressor to cover it, 60 degree maple leaf bucking and omega nub. You'd be almost guaranteed to have a great day.

pretty fair analogy their with G&G

their good - as a sound purchase for SOME guns/starters

but have let the grass grow under their feet

cheapo guns have caught them up

& many higher models fall a bit short

very nice looking designs & stuff

but not quite as outstanding today as they once was

(haters will say they was never outstanding

but was perhaps a bit ott figure of speech)

still pretty decent - but lost some ground they once held

Until you want to switch to midcaps  then you'll rage sell the gun (ask how I know lmao).

G&G stuff is overpriced imo, I'd take a specna over G&G any day now.

Don't get me wrong, they are okay guns, the external polymers are fantastic and they're mostly compatible with aftermarket parts.

But (big BUTt) the technology used is unacceptable (to me anyway). non QC boxes, brass bushings, weird tappet plate, their autism in having the screws on the wrong side of the box, the shitty gear hop unit and the utter shit tin foil barrels they come in (even some of the expensive ones) have slowly steered my interest away from them.

Now some guns are cool-ish (ARP-9 which I had, SSG-1) but that's it.

Their CM series (lower end) was the shit 5/6 years ago, but now that we have specna I don't see the point in recommending them anymore
