Firstly, I love machine guns, especially those barely represented in Airsoft. Even when there's often no specific ruleset for them, there's nothing better than keeping heads down - even if they're constantly breaking.

I also like collecting rare guns, though not being incredibly rich I get what I can. Currently of note, I have a KTW Winchester M1873 with a discontinued gas conversion kit; the famous Magpul FPG (the original, not the kit gun or the new thing); and a one of 250 Viva Arms/Rock ZB-26! I also have a Tanaka M29 (6.5" barrel) but that's more for the cool factor.
My kit tends to be surplus with a few exceptions and I enjoy getting as close as I can to the real thing, without using any patches or insignia I haven't earned. However, if ever there's a reason to do it, I really love the crafting and creation of post-apocalyptic costumes in Airsoft. Unfortunately, there's precious few events in the UK....
Finally, with a very limited set of tools, I enjoy the often very difficult challenge of modifying Airsoft guns with real steel parts. My L7A2 is my best example and is two years of blood, sweat and tears to make the most accurate replica of the British GPMG I could. 
My current project is an M1919A6, with my base being a custom fabricated steel shell I bought boneyard from a car boot sale.
