I had a pair of Salomon boots that were very heavily abused in all sorts of weather and walking/climbing and dog walking conditions. No joking, they failed after about 20-25 years after the soles of both boots starting coming away at the same time. Ironically at one of my first couple of airsoft skirmishes last year. Read in to that what you will ? I immediately replaced them with another pair of Salomon's, but I haven't worn them in to get them to slipper comfy state yet ? Expensive, but awesome boots!

Lol - no idea what you mean ?

Ollie from Ollie talks airsoft seems to have had loads of issues recently with the Nuprol Razr 0.3g Bio BB's:
-
I have ordered from them twice now, the most recent being about 2 weeks ago when I ordered a couple of spare mags and a red dot for my TM FNX-45 tactical pistol. Not had any issues everything arrived promptly and I received all the usual order emails and delivery updates.

I must admit I don't get the point of what you have posted? There wasn't a site requirement to use bio's, so therefore and what I think you are implying, I didn't get away with anything. Normal bb's were allowed which is what I used. Had I turned up and they had changed that then I had bio's with me and would have used those.
-
I didn't end up using the Geoff's 0.32g Super Natural Bio bb's on Sunday as bios weren't required/enforced. I rolled the bag of bb's around and then looked at a group of 30 using the zoom on my camera and as far as I can see the surface of them all looks really polished without any obvious blemishes. There is fine dust in the bag, but no individual pieces of anything. Interestingly the bag has a small hole that has clearly been intentionally punched through both sides at the top left? Unfortunately I don't have the tools to be able to accurately measure or weigh them but as I have now almost run of of my longbow bb's I will use these next time at the shooting range on all my rif's and report back. It would be great to be able to switch permanently to bio's if they are consistent, reliable and shoot well.

The atmosphere completely changed in the afternoon, much more relaxed and everyone just seemed to be enjoying it more.

Played at Combat Airsoft Games in Norfolk yesterday with my two sons and two of their friends. Really good setup and the marshalls were very friendly, efficient, and attentive in game The safety briefing didn't take too long although may have seemed a little too brief if it was your first time? Good mix of game types and scenarios with moonshone and helo's involved. Interesting that there seemed to be a big group there for just the morning session and when they left at lunch time there didn't seem to be any more issues with people not taking their hits which was starting to get quite heated in the morning. Overall a great day out and the weather held.

I have just got some Geoff's 0.32g BIO's that I will use in Sunday's skirmish. I don't want to open them yet just in case the site suddenly wants to see unopened bags of the bio's you intend to use. I don't think they will, nor do they say it's a requirement but having been caught out last month at Combat Thetford which was very expensive, I am not taking the chance. I will check them after the game report back here.

I did unintentionally once when my Sniper rifle failed. Charged into battle with just my pistol drawn and one of the marshal's said "ooh, that's brave" lol
-
Agreed. It does stick out of the flash hider slightly but as I always run with a suppressor, just like the look if nothing else, it seems to work OK in this case to edge the fps a tad closer to 350.
-
Thank you. Using 0.32g bb's it equates to about 330 fps with 0.2g bb's, so perfect.

Permission to come aboard folks? After spending the last couple of weeks reading all 350 odd pages of this thread, yes 350 odd, my browser crashed somewhere around the mid 100’s. So I thought well it won’t do any harm to read everything from the start again so I don’t miss anything ? I managed to pick up my MWS from @GothicGhost on here on the 10th August, along with a few other bits he had as well. You can probably excommunicate him from this thread now ? This is a pic of it as he had put it back to stock and in the advert: I have since upgraded it and added @davegolf’s awesome SixG Super nub (https://sixgunsmithing.com/2018/03/11/sixg-super-nub-for-marui-gbbr/) and have his HSB (https://sixgunsmithing.com/2019/07/07/sixg-hsb-high-speed-buffer/) on order as well. I also swapped to the Modify Tan bucking and the inner barrel to the G&P Marui MWS V 330mm one that I picked up with it. With a few other external mods and another 3 mags, it now looks like this and I love it Thank you for everyone that has contributed to this amazing thread so far!

There is another favorable review of the 6mm Ammo BB's a year ago (a UK company, I believe?) https://airsoftdoorkicker.com/2020/08/23/6mm-ammo-bb-experiment/

If it is the first time I am using a new site online, I always message them first and see how long, if at all, they take to respond. I have found a lot of the better known, to me anyway, companies take a lot longer than I would expect them to respond and some don't respond at all. Needless to say it is obvious which ones get my business. I know this doesn't help you, sorry. I hope they come through for you.
-
lol that is true and in fairness it's been a while since the last one ?
-
No, apparently they were a bio site but up until the last month never enforced it so allowed non-bio (normal) bb's as well. Where as now they are strictly enforcing it but didn't shout about it as loud as they could have done before people turned up on the day.
-
In a word crap! My two sons and I were really excited to play at Combat Thetford again after the amazing day we had had earlier in the year. Kit all prepped, all magazines loaded (oh my god how many mags ? and we traveled the 1hr 15 mins to get there for 09:00 knowing with everything prepared in advance we would have plenty of time for chrono etc etc. Sadly at chrone, unbeknown to me or my sons they had in the last month decided to enforce the bio bb rule and were asking to see proof of the bottles before chrono. I didn't see anything on the website or on the ticket info when booking to highlight that this was now being enforced. we were now panicking and feeling on the back foot immediately. That threw all 3 of us in to a panic and cost us about £100 in bio bb's from their shop for all our weapons. All mags unloaded and reloaded in the tent and off we go again to chrono. ASG CZ p-09 using c02 (I don't have green gas mags at all) for the first time in 12 months of skirmishes is showing as hot and can't be used. The sniper rifle is flinging 0.43g bb's all over the place and won't show a consistent FPS when it had been fine 2 weeks before (after stripping it down last night I found lube in the bucking so at least I now know why ? MP7 and predator are fine but I don't have a load out configured to be able to carry and use them together and they are probably too similar to make it worth it other than just the pure fun of the TM MP7. Then it transpires that the forestry commission has forced them to use a different part of the forest so all the areas we played in before, including the amazing and massive village, are not available. The woodland is massively overgrown with 3/4foot plus bracken so anything not a sniper or DMR is massively disadvantaged. My eldest sons lmg is playing up and just stops when the batteries seem to still have lots of life left in them: By 12:00 my youngest has had enough of the games and terrain and gives his predator to my eldest and stops playing. By lunch time we have all had enough. Have some lunch, pack up and set off back home again. We are all very disappointed that the change of playing area and the enforcing of bio bb's was not shouted from the highest rooftops and like many others apparently, were not made aware until we turned up. It will take an awful lot for us to return here again now.

A couple of nice shots of my son and I at DTW Airsoft yesterday, having a great day. This was the first time out for me with the AAC T10 and playing the sniper role and my son with his new LMG eating up bb's like there is no tomorrow ?
-
I did, sort of. We Played at Gunman airsoft at Tuddenham on Sunday. Not the best sniper area to play in, in the overgrown section, but it was going OK. Unfortunately I had put the larger of the two adjuster dials/wheels that come with the TDC on but found that I was accidentally rotating the wheel whilst using the rifle. This culminated in it being screwed in further than it needed to be for 0.43 bb's and the added pressure showed up my poor job of using epoxy resin to attach it on to the barrel, and the unit popped off ? I then played the rest of that game aggressively using my pistol to which the marshal commented as I passed him "oh that's brave" ? I have now re-attached it and put the small adjuster wheel on, hopefully that will hold better and my numpty hands won't accidentally adjust it. All good fun

It's sounding really good. I haven't upgraded as much as you have done, but certainly more than I had originally planned to before actually firing a shot in anger at a skirmish, damn Covid Lockdown ? This is what I went with: I kept the original trigger set as the reviews I had watched and read said it should be good for FPS up to and around 500fps AAC aluminium piston - for strong spring longevity - ditto AAC stainless spring guide - for strong spring longevity - ditto with can mod to stop spring rattle AAC VSR 10 Hopup unit Kept the original cylinder guides, although I crafted a sleeve to go from the barrel end to the hop unit to stop any cylinder wiggle, seems to work OK. AAC m130 and m150 springs (m150 with a sorbo pad now sits at about 480fps with 0.2's) Maple Leaf 300mm 6.04 crazy jet barrel Maple Leaf Autobot 60 bucking Maple Leaf Omega nub AAC Hive supressor, this is a monster but looks awesome - birthday prezzie from the wife AAC Twisted outta barrel - birthday prezzie from the wife Snipetor Uni-TDC kit - I went with this one as it had the hole drilling jig/rings as I was worried about all the measuring and taping with others and didn't want to screw it up Both the barrel and suppressor are filled with the small DIY mini roller foams - credit to the guy on youtube who suggested this. I've had a pack of about 12 laying around for , no joking, about 20 years ? I went with the same scope as the Nov sniper one but from Amazon by another company I have a bipod which I have removed again just to keep the weight down for now. One of the very useful threads on here Other useful links:

I will be following your journey with interest having come to many of the same conclusions you have. I got mine as an Xmas prezzie from the wife as I wanted to step in to tech'ing and have something to work on and upgrade during the lockdown. I followed most of the collective wisdom and experience from others on here with their own sniper journey and having now finished most of the affordable upgrades, I can't wait to try it out for the first time on the 25th. Taking it apart, maintaining and upgrading it has given me a lot of satisfaction, confidence and encouraged me to fiddle with my aeg now. Good luck and have fun, it's a great looking piece of kit.
