Aye, don't get me wrong it's definitely lighter... but I feel the biggest difference is how much easier it is to manoeuvre.
My general understanding is when it has a shorter outer barrel and is set up to have a suppressor on the end (often, but not always, acting as a barrel extension). In this case the outer barrel stops at the end of the receiver. I assume it's colloquially called 'gspec-ing' down to the VSR which had the shorte outer barrel and suppessor compared the to the regular VSR-10.
In function, doesn't effect performance at all because the inner barrel is the same 420mm I had in there previously. But the combination of the tiny outer barrel and the carbon suppressor means I've shaved about 500 grams off the front end versus the original 16" outer barrel and DTSS muzzle break and suppressor. - Show next comments 3 more
