  1. Phenomenal service from Jason at Longbow, wasn’t expecting this order till Monday/Tuesday next week. Went ahead and gspec’d my SRS, ohh boy does it feel a lot more nimble!

Nimble, there's a word that needs brought back into fashion.

I give up, what's gspec, and how has it changed the gun?

Genuine interest, I have a cheap sniper that I might blow the dust off of if I have to.... [shudder]... play woodland again.

Aye, don't get me wrong it's definitely lighter... but I feel the biggest difference is how much easier it is to manoeuvre.

My general understanding is when it has a shorter outer barrel and is set up to have a suppressor on the end (often, but not always, acting as a barrel extension). In this case the outer barrel stops at the end of the receiver. I assume it's colloquially called 'gspec-ing' down to the VSR which had the shorte outer barrel and suppessor compared the to the regular VSR-10.

In function, doesn't effect performance at all because the inner barrel is the same 420mm I had in there previously. But the combination of the tiny outer barrel and the carbon suppressor means I've shaved about 500 grams off the front end versus the original 16" outer barrel and DTSS muzzle break and suppressor.
