  1. Hmm, thanks... that fits with some similar experiences I’d read about elsewhere (early failure of this particular rubber). Out of interest, what weight of BB were you using and what type of gas? Wow, that’s more frequent than I’d expected! When I first ran a GBB (few years ago) I don’t think I ever changed the hop rubber once... which may explain why my aim was so bad 🙂 Definitely need to improve on my maintenance regime, it seems...
  2. Question: how durable is the often-recommended Modify (Tan) Hop Up Bucking? Reason I ask is because I'm reading mixed reports about them in various reviews and on forums (including some mentions in this thread of them failing much earlier than expected). So does the Modify Tan suffer from QA issues that make it prone to failure? Those of you use this bucking: how often are you having to replace it on average? (perhaps you've never had to replace it...). Interested to hear some first-hand experience from folks here. Partly because I trust you guys! (I'm a fool, I know). And also because I'm aware that problems tend to get over-reported in online product reviews, so those I've read might not be giving the most balanced picture. Cheers for any input on this 🍺
  3. Used to own a few vintage Triumphs and other decaying money-pits-on-wheels (loved 'em though). Then had kids and bought a more sensible KIA Ceed which never seems to require any work doing to it. Phenomenally reliable car. Although I have undoubtedly just jinxed it and will probably arrive home to find it in flames on the driveway. For my daily commute I cycle... 20 mile round trip each day, all weathers... which helps to keep the pies and pints off my waistline. A bit.
  4. If you want a UK supplier, I'd recommend enquiring with the guys at Eagle 6 (TM specialists). If anyone has a spare loading tube kicking around, it's them (@DopeYourScopebeat me to it! 😁). PS: I'm having good success with the small Tokyo Marui speed loader. This one.
  5. Noob here also! I've been using a Tokyo Marui speed loader (the smaller, pistol-mag shaped one). Needs a fairly positive/forceful push on the plunger but loads BBS in batches of 4-5 no problem.
  6. Gotcha. Stupid question maybe, but have you tested whether your other MWS magazines are working correctly? Just wondering whether it might be a fault with your loading method (e.g. speedloader problem). Otherwise, I would return them myself and get a refund. Better to have money in the bank than risk attempting a fix that may invalidate the warranty and leave you no better off (i.e. magazines still malfunctioning). But that's me.
  7. I'm no expert on this (I'm sure others will chime in with good advice), but I'd suggest contacting the supplier to request a return / replacement / refund if the magazines are malfunctioning. Otherwise any attempt to fix them may invalidate the warranty. Out of interest, where did you purchase them from?
  8. Big thanks for the heads-up! 👍 I've just cancelled my order with Echigoya and bought from Fire Support instead... so that's a beer I owe you should we ever meet in person (or other beverage of your choosing). 48 in stock when I purchased, now down to 42 (not all of those are mine!), so get 'em while they're hot.
  9. Ugh... hobbies... the bane of my life! 😁 Mine: Martial arts: have black belts in karate and kung fu. Used to teach. Cycling: combined with the above, helps to keep the pies and pints off my waistline (a bit...). Music: bass playing and mixing/production (a whole other world of gear acquisition!). Gaming: Xbox FPS nerd. Airsoft: getting back into it after a few years off (preparing myself to be skint). That and professional zoo-keeper to two young boys. Mostly feeding and mucking out. Life is way too short for all this stuff.
  10. Been told that Tiger 111hk also have them in stock, but I'm going to leave my order with Echigoya and wait until the 19th rather than cancel and re-order... I'm impatient, but not that impatient 😉
  11. Will do. They're £45 each including shipping, so if I get slapped for the full VAT and customs fees (approx 32% combined) it'll work out at around £60 each (possibly cheaper depending on how the parcels are labelled / whether Echigoya disclose the full value for shipping, etc). So basically a tenner more than you'd normally pay per mag in the UK. Not too bad if you're an impatient sod like me 😉 Update: been informed they’re not shipping until 19th as “offices are closed for the holiday”. Not sure is that’s common across Japan (?) but might explain delays with TM also if so.
  12. Ok... so hopefully some good news re. purchasing MWS GBB mags for anyone interested! 🙂 The Echigoya store appear to have quite a few of them in stock: 24 at last count. And if my past experience with them is anything to go by, they're generally a good/reliable company to buy from: http://echigoya-guns.com/en/gas-spare-magazines/218-m4a1-mws-spare-magazine.html?search_query=tokyo+marui+MWS+magazine&results=2 I've just cancelled a backorder with a UK supplier and have ordered two direct from Japan. Will let you know how I get on...
  13. Quick update: just had a refund from Ice Foxes store with no explanation, so I guess they don't have MWS magazines in stock after all (or my filthy lucre wasn't good enough for them). Good to know, thanks. I think I'm going to patient and wait for the next batch of standard-style mags to be in stock.
  14. Thanks for the input guys! Appreciated. I’ve found a retailer in Hong Kong that has them in stock: http://www.icefoxes.com/tokyo-marui-m4a1-mws-35rd-gas-magazine Never heard of Ice Foxes before (?), so bought just the one mag via PayPal to check they’re kosher before buying any more. Will report back...
  15. ^ Cheers for the quick reply. So basically... you guys have bought them all! 😁 Well good to know they’re not discontinued. I’ll check in with the Rainbow8 store. Thanks again.
  16. Alright guys. Forum newbie and Marui M4 CQB-R owner here... had the rifle for a few years (since 2015 I think) but only just now getting back into airsoft after a long break. Firstly, great thread! 👍 Secondly, where the hell can I buy magazines from!? Specifically the Tokyo Marui M4A1 MWS ZET 35 Round Gas - these ones: They seem to be out of stock literally everywhere. Has the MWS platform become rare/outdated since I was last skirmishing? Or has there been a recall/fault with these mags? Or are they just very popular? Advice welcome, thanks.
