That is one of strike systems selectors. Used in combination with a thirdpart ambi selector. Kept the center piece and milled it down and made two recesses in it to accept the selector sides from the strike system selector. Not sure what you mean about the barrel though?

Forgot to post the finale on my M4 "RS" build. Been using it for 5+ games now and finally happy with it. Tried a bunch of barrels and rubbers but finally ended up running a prommy 6.03 barrel and a prommy purple bucking. Now it goes straight and as consistent a GBBR can (I think) Externally there has been zero issues, but internally there has been some. 1. Almost smashed up my bolt against the upper ring on the ... lower. The RS buffer tube is a bit longer internally than the TM buffer so the bolt travels to far back and hits the lower. Spacer in and that problem was solved. 2. Guns modify nozzle v.2 has been acting up. On several occasions the nozzle valve either gets stuck completely or to much resistance making a jump from 1,75 joule to 2,6 joule and over-gassing everything. Stock TM nozzle rectified the issue so far. So a final post with pics on it. If you have questions regarding the re-threading etc feel free to ask. I will answer as soon as I see it.

It's possible, overhoping and metal against rubber could cause damage like that I guess. Looks like it has been torn exactly where the bump is? My modify tan is looking really scrappy after maybe 100-200 shots as well 😕

So some more updated today, got the Maple Leaf Crazy Jet 370mm inner barrel today and some other smaller things, also a new charging handle, though when having so much RS stuff lately the Angry Gun quality really feels shitty Anyways, had to drill up the inner hole on the dummy silencer as the inner barrel is sticking out from the muzzle about 5 mm. Nothing major though and went nicely. Then I got around to the hop and rubber, will be trying a Firefly rubber for the VSR10, and as I had not received my supernub yet I took the extended hop arm I had lying in one of my boxes (one of those that do not need the little rubber tube between the arm and the hop rubber) and went through my dremel bits and found a grind bit that was the exact same diameter as the hop rubber. Rounded of the hop arm and should work the same as the super nub now. Also airtightened it and removed all wobble with some thread sealing tape. Then it was time to thread the upper barrel nut thread, not much to say really. Was easy work since only the TPI had to altered somewhat. Torqued it down to the specs from the rail manufacturer and using one of the barrel shims I got a perfect alignment for the gas tube as well. That's it for now, as they for some reason split my die and tap order I don't have the tap and die for the muzzle and buffer tube yet 😕 Now the feel of the upper with the steel barrel and dummy suppressor sure is nice and got some real heft to it Pics in described order ! @LVOA-D : Keep us updated on the John W build please ?

Some pics on the way, lower is pretty much done now, was somewhat of a hassle to fit the selector switch. Used the pin from an iron airsoft MWS ambi selector and grinded it to the same specs as the RS selector switch pin. Worked out great, some minor filing on the trigger guard was required to align the holes for the screws, nothing major though and not visible when mounted on the lower. Now its "just" the rethreading on the buffer tube thread left Some parts on the parts, the modifications on the selector pin and then the lower. Finally my MWS DMR build (semi locked high FPS), fielded for the first time this weekend and it sure did give the bolty snipers a run for their money xD

Okey so also got home all my Strike Industries stuff now, will post a little more detailed build post later on. Got around to fiddling about with the rail and buffer tube, had a bit of a hard time understanding before why wolf cut his nut and why this worked etc. Anyways the dimensions on the barrel nut and buffer tube threads on the upper and lower are true to RS specs except for the TPI (thread pitch) This is bad news (not terrible) since I am pretty sure the re-thread won't turn out as good as a fresh bore or if making a larger thread. But since this is just airsoft, hopefully the threads will be able to handle the stress anyways. Measured the threads and got these results Upper front thread (barrel nut thread) 1-1/4" - 20 TPI (RS is 1-1/4" - 18 TPI) Lower rear thread (buffer tube) 1-3/16" -18 TPI (RS is 1-3/16" - 16 TPI) Not sure why they chose these thread pitches? Metric maybe, or just to keep from being able to swap between RS and Airsoft parts?

Sure thing, can post it here. Starting with the taps and dies. For the muzzle on the barrel 1/2"-28TPI https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-of-2PCS-Alloy-steel-made-UNEF-1-2-28-Die-Threading-Tools-Lathe-Model/32557657280.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ea04c4dZ5K5b2 For the upper barrel nut thread 1-1/4" 18TPI (same as 1.250 -18TPI as I understand it and math says its so I guess ) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-1PC-Alloy-steel-made-UNEF-1-1-4-18-manual-die-threading-tool-for/32791107952.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ea04c4dZ5K5b2 For the lower buffer thread 1-3/16" - 16TPI https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-1pc-UNC-stardard-UN1-3-16-8-HSS-machine-taps-straight-taps-for-steel/32571486354.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ea04c4dZ5K5b2 Tools for holding these taps and dies (double checked with the seller) For the buffer tap (600mm one) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-of-1PC-full-steel-made-400-500-600mm-European-style-tap-wrench-screw-tap/32272099277.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ea04c4dZ5K5b2 For the muzzle die https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-of-1PC-38-M12-M16-hand-circular-die-wrench-hand-hinge-Die-Threading-Tools/32669411020.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ea04c4dZ5K5b2 For the barrel nut thread https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shipping-of-1PC-65mm-M27-M36-hand-round-die-wrench-hand-hinge-Die-Threading-Tools/32790244037.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.2ea04c4dZ5K5b2 Now I have no 100% guarantee these will work but have scoured the net and checked everywhere I could and I think it should be correct, it is also the same dimensions as the ones sold on Brownells just a lot cheaper. If one would thread a real AR/M4 I would probably go with the brownell stuff but figured for airsoft this hopefully will work just fine. I will ofc let you guys know how it all works out (or does not work out) in this thread as soon as the stuff arrives. Edit: Also when placing the order I missclicked the TPI on the barrel nut and the seller contacted me and asked if it was not supposed to 18TPI, so I guess he or she knew what it was for. For that extra bit of reassuring feeling

Order it all from specshop, asked them about a discount on got one and their free shipping made it a pretty good deal. And just like you mentioned before I saw on the Redwolf site that they mixed the RS SI stuff with Madbull clones without mention. One could see it in the item ids they use for their items on the website. Lots of stuff starting with MB- and i guess that stands for Madbull so I did not dare order from them (not that they had much in stock anyways). This gonna be a really expensive build but looking forward to it, also found the dies and taps required to rethread for a reasonable price. Hopefully the parts will start stumbling in tomorrow and during the next week, longest wait will probably be the taps and dies. Thanks! Suspected as much, ordered the same one then

Hi again, sorry for bugging you with a lot of questions, but once again regarding the SI buffer tube, how do you plan to do it with the buffer tube ring? I am guessing the TM buffer tube ring is to small for the threads on the tube? Did it come with a ring or did you buy their ring and spacer set as well?

Wise words indeed. But I usually ask the Asian sites to write down the slip value so I pay minimum important taxes, Im in Sweden and our gun regulations are pretty strict but the customs here are not as finicky with airsoft parts or even RS stuff (except for barrels, trigger groups and carrier groups etc) but all those things I have checked thoroughly since I don't want to lose my license for my real weapons. Anyway Redwolf did not seem very interested in my business sadly. So not sure what to do now, probably gonna scrap the build project. Only specshop that has some of the stuff I want but like I said earlier I am allergic to overpricing 😕 Shame was really hyped up for this build

So what's your experience with Redwolf airsoft? Made some minor orders without issues there before except for som garbage rail they slinged and refused to take back. Anyways sent them an email with s pretty large order requrdt, approx 30 items incl and M4 mws lots of internals and lots of externals from magpul and strike industries. Reason I mailed them was most of the items were out of stock (as usual) but was hoping they could source home an order in the near future and also give a decent price on the order (+$2000).Some strike industries items were not listed at their store but they should be able to grab home those items if you are a reseller. But NOPE, got a shitty reply in bad English that said please use our email notification for out of stock items and something about a factory I did not understand. What shitty customer service is that? Sure it's not a huge order but still a decent amount. Pissed me off something fierce. //Rant off

Okey so to mount RS stuff on what dies and taps do one need? Front barrel for supressor / flashhider etc - 1/2 - 28 (Left Handed) Front upper for barrel nut - 1-1/4 - 18 (Right handed) Rear lower for buffer tube - 1-3/16 -16 (Right handed) Does this look about right?

Just comparing to the US prices, almost 100 Euro more than in the States. A little more I am fine with of course but I find adding on 100 Euro is on the higher side. Maybe just me
