The 'What have you just bought' Thread

Yours is a bit more shiny than our old jalopy. We replaced it with an ancient shogun and that just runs and runs, the old disco 2 had a dash board like a Christmas tree but as we sorn them and use them around the farm as a cheap tractor/more practical than a quad bike we didn't care. -

How are you getting on with the disco 3, I only ask as our old series 2 should have come with a welder as a factory option, otherwise it was a workhorse -

Will do, much appreciated Latest purchase pts eps stock, no more battery fitting issues pts NGRs mags prefer Tm ones but can't argue with 50% more capacity a castle nut wrench which I have so far resisted the temptation to use as those pixies can stay put for the moment The used tissue, that's just for those neat freaks who can't stand an untidy background ? And I have a cold at the moment! -

I reckon if I sell a couple of rifs, trade in my old banger I'll have enough for a wing mirror, I could then build it up weekly like those really good value DeAgostini magazines and have it ready for............. appreciate you may have just purchased it but have you tried sleeping in it yet, would be interested as vowed years ago to avoid sleeping on the floor again if possible. Never ceases to amaze me the cost of coach build T5's, we have a dealership nearby and some of the prices require a double take so a homebrew sounds ideal. Regarding the have you tried it yet I was referring to the hammock not the van, lazy typing. i don't do roll mats any more -

Macks airsoft dreamers of the week thread
Stratton Oakmont replied to Mack's topic in General Discussion
No problem, they won't be in quotation marks or referenced as that's too boring, however just so you realise you are not being trolled they will take roughly this form. hypothetical thread example what type of shooting do people do? my reply 1. Small bore competition shooting. 2. Pistol Olympic air pistol. 3. Hunting wolverines with my cousins 4 full bore rifle shooting If these just wash over you then it's not for you and no one should feel hurt. If no.3 makes you think wtf? As it is just a little out of step to the others then your are half way there and is just there for fun if you immediately recognise no 3 and the film its from then it's all good -

Nice reference, may fire some obscure film lines back at you further down the line (if you don't mind) as they have passed others by -

For want of a nail!!!, this advert whilst not necessarily a dreamer just makes me think , why risk a sale for a cheap ass castle nut and electrical tape fix which puts the whole idea of the upgrades in question? When I bought it it had deans wired on, I can see the red and black wires (just) where the castle nut meets the body so the wires run the full length of the stock tube rather than soldered to the contact bars. My comfy grip -

I'm a short arse so the set up is to fit my stumpy arms need the afg to save my wrists from giving me gyp yes it's a lipo butt pad, otherwise standard inside so far I've skirmished it once, my sorted LCT AK out shoots it for range but it's also putting out 345 fps and has a sorted hop (to be honest all my tinkered with guns outshoot it) but the Tm now is better than the Others were stock (if that makes sense). will resist the temptation to tinker for now -

Training plates aren't for me but if they make skirmishing a bit more challenging and fun for someone then crack on - its not a h&s concern imo. If you use a gbbr and have a water bladder you are close to training plate weights anyway. No,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! never felt the need to carry more dead weight, if you want to train with weight carry more useful stuff like ammo and water. just ask any marine, when carrying weight on a loadcarry do use a. Your private dumbbell/gym plates b. Rocks clue the answers b only idiots put heavy useless valuable kit to add weight because if something goes wrong and you're told to ditch the weight guess who can't because they paid good money for it -

So from this To this So so where to begin. It appears my idea of shoots perfectly is not necessarily the same as others. ive heard of tactical maracas but thought that applied to hicap magazines not the gun itself, when I stripped it down the lack of screws etc explained the noise I will just list what I had to do to get this back to what I wouid be happy with. remove all two tone paint trunion grub screws, yeah probably need those folding stock pin grub screw, yeah probably need one of those too. stripped hop unit screws, check AK lever shuffle check loose front grip reshimmed shooting straight, naah curving right after 20m new hop rubber and s-hop now dead straight zenitco pts-1 stock cheek piece bolt missing stock pin had been drilled out instead of driven so no longer exists so unable to replace with a standard one as top eyelet now had a 6mm diameter hole and bottom eyelet and stock had a 5mm hole 4mm diameter stock pin had been used so stock had a little? Wobble to say the least stock 2mm too thin so had to make a spacer to go with a new custom fabricated stock pin to eliminate vertical play shimmed folding bracket now no unnecessary movement reduce from 410 to 320 fps, thankfully gearbox had been left untouched and LCT had built a good one repsray in Matt black to hide faint remnants of previous dayglo new shs motor because I had one knocking about new wiring harness with thicker silicon wire and xt60 connectors just needs a gate Titan to shorten the trigger remove contact trigger issues in the 7.4 lipo and its cqb ready good job I like AK variants!!!!!!!!!!
