Happy days! My first NGRS! anyone recommend a battery that fits? All mine are a tad too big.

Managed to order the last 3 from Airsoft Global, hopefully arriving early next week.

Been a while since I last posted here due to work/Covid/kids etc. just recently getting back into it, and have came back with a bang! Added a SAI Blu (again) an EMG Combat Master and a KWA Mod 1 in December…..then TM released the NGRS SD6 and well I kinda had to pre-order that too! ETA is mid-feb, fingers cross it all goes smoothly!

Hao Industries Geissele rail came today, absolutely amazed at the quality of it. Fitment wise, took a fair amount of lube (wahey) and elbow grease due to the tight tolerances but eventually went on and fits perfectly flush with the receiver. The GK Airsoft KAC QD silencer was another recent purchase from PowAir6, had planned to fit an AceTech AT2000 inside the can, but it isn't quite wide enough. So back to the drawing board on that one. Thinking about getting the Predator and having it painted.

You’re right, the colours don’t match, even from the factory. They went for a RAL8000 finish on these and it seems each component got a different “artist impression” Under certain light conditions (dark ones lol) it looks a little more uniformed.

My new Umarex HK416 A5 AEG. External upgrades - Magpul RVG, HAO Industries SMR rail & Aim-O SRS reflex sight. Still waiting on the silencer to clear customs and will add the AceTech AT2000 to complete it. Internally, the gun is stock and shoots really well out of the box (330fps) with good accuracy at 20 meters. Hoping to field it before Christmas! Only downside I can think of is the battery space. With the fuse in the rear wiring and no space in the stock, you have very limited space in the buffer tube to get a LiPo in there.

Well here is hoping Aim-o get theirs from the same factory!

I'm still waiting on mine to arrive from ShootersCB! How are you finding it so far in terms of build quality, clarity etc? What brand of replica is it?

Nothing needs to be done to it, I'm just an eternal tinckerer! Some people like to leave them alone and enjoy it as the factory intended and some others prefer to see how far they can push the platform with a KoA £1,100 longsword package. My G&P based M4 is upgrade to the nth degree and the upgrades cost me less than half of that longsword package with someone else doing the work for me. One day I'll get the TM but for now, I'll see how the VFC performs.

I agree that it isn't a direct comparison. I've had the opportunity to use the TM and I did love some the unique features BUT, are they worth an additional £130 over the VFC? Then taking into consideration that none of my existing mags will work with the TM, another additional cost. Add in the LiPo conversion (which would invalidate manufacturer warranty from TM?) and in my own opinion, the balance started to tip towards the VFC. The TM does out range most standard AEG's but my VFC isn't likely to remain standard for long. With an r-hop installed and a new barrel, its entirely likely the VFC will shoot just as good if not better than the TM. The TM still remains on my wishlist, one day i will bite the bullet and get into it, but for now, The VFC will do just fine. The gun will remain stock apart from the R-hop and barrel upgrade and when it does come time to look at upgrading it, I can be fairly confident of being able to do most of the work myself, something I wouldn't entertain doing with the TM.

@Defender90 I just placed an order for the Umarex HK416 A5 in RAL8000. I had considered the TM Delta Custom but couldn't justify the additional upgrade expense to get it where I'd like it. Picking it up on Thursday and have a HAO industries Geiselle rail currently stuck at customs! The last major purchases (I hope!) before Christmas!

New pistol came today, EMG SAI Blu, made by Armorer Works (WE). Shooting around 300-310 on GG, will pick up CO2 mags in the future and see how it fairs up.

The wallet has taken a battering this month but hopefully, this lot should keep me happy for a little while at least! Booked into Kingdom of Airsoft to have it all installed with an EdGi barrel and R-Hop 😁

I'm just starting out (got my UKARA number yesterday 😊) but here is a picture of the current arsenal G&P SAI GRY SBR - Internals are standard for now but plan on a comprehensive upgrade (TITAN, 13:1, Blueprinted motor, EdGI barrel and R-Hop) Externally, swapped out the standard stock for a PTS EPS, PTS Fortis foregrip and Vortex CrossFire RDS with Magpul MBUS backups TM G18C - PGC slide and outer, 150% recoil spring and hammer set with X300 replica light TM M92F (Old Betty) - bought back in 2004 and still running like a dream!
