This was on a RAL8000 AEG, so i used sniper tape to cover the optic to tone the colours (this can be removed), i also made a 5mm thick lexan screen protector for the front, includes a slip case. Hey, i think i read your review on Ali! Thats a bummer, do you recon you may have got a faulty unit? What do you recon to the light, is it bright enough, or do you need to run a seperate torch with it? Not sure it's currently worth a ton plus, especially if PTS do end up releasing one. Do you have any pics mounted? Thanks for your response 🙂

Lots of speculation on this over the past few years, i like the look of the MAWL and like PTS 'quality' if i cant afford the real deal (which i cant for a RS MAWL)..... Looking to replace the stock grip on my 416, stock is good quality, but for me the shape has never been comfy. I find the magpul grips too 'thin' and prefer something a little more contoured, so the questions is, what do you use and why? I'm looking for recommendations, i'm wary of stuff from ali as i find they're not too durable and can have problems with motor engagement angle... so it needs to be 'main brand' / OEM type stuff... Cheers in advance!

Hi mate, i'd caveat that i've never tested it myself, but i'd say yes. My logic is that you've tested standard G17 TM/WE and it works, as i remember the only difference in form factor is flat on the WE nozzle and curved on the TM for gas routing. Also WE are pretty much TM clones so i wouldn't expect a huge differential in the core shape of the part. Randomly i have a GM RMR BBU for sale on here with a TM spec GM nozzle, if you wanted to send me your Ace 1 BBU i could test this fit for you? But i think as RDB says, quite a chep part so probably just worth a punt?

The idea is mine, the execution I can take no credit for. I've been working with Seb at double tap designs, that man is a 3D design genius! Essentially, I run the APS CO2 mags in Glock builds, the ones with the hex screw brass bottom caps. I didn't like the design and lack of aftermarket mag bases on the original, this changes the mag base to be essentially like a standard TM. The CO2 brass end cap sits in the hole, you slide it on, then screw it in place with a hex wrench through a (smaller) hole in the bottom of the mag base. A new bottom spring guide was needed too... Final design is done, they're off to get printed in MJF by Protolabs.

I kind of swear by WD40 Dry PTFE spray, its awesome stuff for airsoft use, has the benefit of not holding grit and gunking up internals. Worth considering!

Bought off Ali for a customer build but never used. I've checked functionality and it works as it should, although i've noticed some shadowing to the red dot. Essentially it looks like a slightly small second red dot below the main dot. I think this could be rectified by taking the front part off and reseating the laser in the housing. In my view this is a pretty good quality alloy/aluminium replica, you have a constant on/off, strobe and laser function, in both visible and infra red (i've tested both). You can run the visible laser or IR laser independently or with the light/IR light switched on. Takes two CR123A batteries. I've checked the fit on both Glock and standard picatinny rails, and all is good! £55 inc. postage and PayPal fees. postage will be second class signed for or Hermes.... After reading this post i contacted Max to do some work on my VFC 416 AEG, i have to say that i'm massively impressed with the service i received and i would thoroughly recommend him. Prior to this i'd spoken to a number of different techs, inc. at established stores, no one really seemed too interested in conducting the work I wanted, and advising me on the best outcomes. The conversation with Max was easy, he listened to my ideas and suggested different ways to achieve my goal. We settled on a build and agreed some areas where additional work could/should be conducted once the gear box was opened, particularly i wanted to eliminate some of the known VFC weak points, cylinder, tappet plate etc. Communication throughout the work/build was exceptional, Max provided sound advice that went way above and beyond my limited tech experience. The VFC is my only AEG and was my first RIF a number of years ago, its served me well, but needed some tlc, i wanted a 'bomb proof' gearbox build emphasising trigger response. Key work : - Cleaned & serviced. - Re-shimmed with high speed gears, short stroked. - Gate warfet and wiring inc. modifying the gearbox shell. - Retro arms trigger inc. required adjustments and modifications. - Replaced tappet plate, piston/compression assembly, alu nozzle, spring. - Gearbox radius. - New high torque motor. - AOE correction. I got max to do some other stuff too like re-wiring my batteries to Deans etc. and play around with a ProWin hop and barrel that i couldn't get working. We agreed 6 hour labour, parts were at cost. I appreciate you can go to great lengths with components to get crazy DSG builds etc, but for me this was all about balance, the improvement in performance on the VFC is crazy good, the build feels robust and for my needs its perfect at a good price point. Make/brand: G&P/EMG SAI GRY Any accessories included: Mags, fore grip, iron sights, hard case, original box **Looking for an appraisal please, draft advert below, looking for £475 all in, more pictures will go in ad** Genuinely never skirmished, and essentially a display/collectors piece, although i have put some mags through it in the garage etc. I've included some pictures showing how i've had it set up (not everything included in the sale, please see below).Selling as i'm thinning out my AEG collection a little and as i've just bought my first GBBR M4 and those mags are expensive ;-)....Essentially this is stock internally, but i have completed some external upgrades listed below based on a Strike Industries 'look' :1. Main one is the Real Steel Mission First Tactical 'Battle Link Utility' Stock. This is a milspec stock and there is zero wobble on the buffer tube. It also has a custom foam cheek pad! This stock has an internal compartment accessed via a 'door', I've dremelled out some of the material so that you can insert the battery by opening the door, i.e. you don't need to remove the whole stock to get the battery in the buffer tube. These are quite difficult to source in the UK (I got this one in the US). 2. Strike Industries silver castle nut (i liked this as it matches the forward assist). 3. SAI etched ambi-charging handle. 4. Strike Industries style bolt release (be aware this model isn't designed to have a working bolt release mechanism - for looks only). 5. Ambi mag release.What this package includes :1. SAI GRY with external upgrades described above. 2. Original box. 3. Black hard storage case. 4. MBUS clone flip up front and rear iron sights. 5. BCM type MLOK foregrip. 6. 8x G&G 120rd G&G midcap magazines (essentially new and un-skirmished).I recon total package is worth in the region £600 - £650. Looking for £475 inc.
