Yeah I did have a look at their Facebook page and it seems they/he is making some kind of epi pen grenade, from my thinking it's just far to complicated to set off It needs to be simple, push a button and throw the thing, from the video I saw you had to do about 4 or 5 steps before the thing even gets set off And because now I'm unfortunately down to just one 3D printer in my workshop I won't be making these at a really big production but I do feel it might be a good idea to give away the design for anyone to print themselves and draw up a wiring diagram and how to so you can make it yourself The shell itself takes 18 hours to print and assembly of the internals (if you're handy with a soldering iron) takes about 30 minutes Cost wise, it's whatever your 3d printer costs to run for 18 hours which according to my smart meter was about £6 The board costs £10 The buttons cost £8.99 for a pack of 8 The speaker was from a £5.99 bluetooth speaker I got off amazon and ripped out It takes an 18650 battery and I used an 18650 battery holder inside You'd need some wire, a soldering iron and a spare SD card I don't have time to sit here and make X amount of these I'm just a one man band but I'm happy to give my creation away to the community

So the new grenade shell has now been printed in TPU, it's bendy, will take impacts and have currently programed 3 sounds into it (for some reason it won't recognise other files so I'm working on why) Body has been Modifed, buttons now sink into pre cut holes https://youtu.be/JtmdE7lSd3Y

Luckily our local site asks at each briefing if anyone suffers from photosensitive lights and if anyone has an issue with strobes Cutting springs and heat compressing them down 👍

So just waiting on my printer to knock out a new shell, 50% infil TPU, new designed end caps, threads on both ends, pre cut holes for buttons and speaker grills So while that's printing I made this strobe M84, only to discover you can get them for £18 on Ali express, but fuck it I like making things and I have a week signed off by the doctor for a bad shoulder

So testing today went really well! Everytime I threw it into a room it was greater with a "Fuck, run, Grenade" and a few "wait, WTF was that" It was definitely loud enough that it could be heard inside the room and from outside so you knew it went off and the fact it was reusable just by picking it up, pressing the button and throwing it again made clearing rooms a breeze The only downside was as I printed the shell at 20% infil the threaded part did snap, which was fixed with tape to continue but I only printed this case as a test to fit things in, so I'll print the next one at 100% infil so it's solid and the design will most likely change to incorporate the final internals One of the buttons took a beating so I'll design it to be more sunken in and flat so it doesn't take any damage but I wasn't light with it I was hurling it around doors so to last a whole morning was a good test in my eyes! I also wrapped it in door frame sticky foam (draft excluder foam?) and electrical tape so it's softer and obsorbs alot of impact

Thbaks bud! After making the prototype from parts the next mission is to source the same internals for a decent price and have them all shipped to me

It's certainly something I can look into, adding a beeping sound after a few minutes would be easy as its just an mp3 file
