A few of mine.. Krytac SPR. Old original pistol grip which has been changed since this pic, buying a better spring to DMR this up. Scope is a WE 4x Acog with doctor sight. Also have the PTS longer skeletonized foregrip, not sure which I prefer tbh. Both comfy and look cool though! WE Toucan Big Bird custom.. (Pictures aren't as great, sorry about the floor that needs hoovering! Thats what happens after a load of airsoft boxes gets opened ) And finally my G&G M14 Veteran.. Well by a few I meant a bit more than a few....

I think I read somewhere someone had a similar issue and it required a fairly rough scouring pad and some elbow grease.

To be honest, £315 for a gun is almost the most i'm willing to spend right now (says the guy that wants to spend £135 on a scope) as I'm still fairly new and from the reviews I've seen this beast has all upgraded internals needed for the foreseeable future. You're probably right, but I've pretty much set my heart on this now, especially after watching a load of reviews on youtube. The optic is mainly because I want a very good quality Acog for this gun and 4x zoom. I have a holographic and red dot site for my other 2 but really want a good quality 4x with a doctor sight. The length I prefer in all honesty mate, simply because I might down the line make it a DMR of sorts, not quite sure but I quite like the long length. Thanks for the suggestion though. You want to point me towards a suppressor?

Awesome cheers dude. I just watched a review where they had a suppressor attached and it looks awesome so I may get one of those aswell, so if anyone can suggest a suppressor (Ideally from patrol base so i can order the lot from them) I'd appreciate it as my knowledge in suppressors are basically zero.

I'll freely admit my air soft knowledge isn't amazing but it is by no means bad, so any thoughts or suggestions are welcome before I buy this in a few hours. I have up to a £600 budget (Thanks christmas work bonus ) Which is alot of money, so I wanted to make sure both these are value for money.

I'm at work now so can't have a look, but if I remember correctly, the angle the m14 mags go in and sit, pushing the mag as i did in the video forward, automatically raises the front end of the mag aswell. Theres a very quite "click" when doing this aswell, which someone said was the feed tube activating the spring on the mag to feed the bb's?

I did actually try some sticky back velcro for the same effect, wasn't very affective though as the magazine was stupidly tough to fit in, then when it did, fell out after a couple of shots Might try the epoxy though, are you saying to apply it in the gap i'm showing in the vid to push the mag further forward? Layer by layer etc?

Cheers, what about the mAh side of things? Is the higher the better? Are those B3 chargers smart chargers? Will check my stock tubes aswell, cheers mate

Was just about to order some lipos and a charger, but thought I'd double check with you guys first.. Now I've been told most AEG's should be fine to run 7.4 lipos, anything about is risky and may require a MOSFET.. Is this correct? I'm assuming a smart charger that will stop once its fully charged, any suggestions? Money isnt an issue, aslong as its good quality and safe. Will Probably get a lipo bag just to be sure aswell. Component shop is what i'm looking at now, just not sure on a) whether my gun can hack lipos, and what ones to get. It'll have to be a nunchuck style, just unsure on the mAh, as 7.4v seems the safest option.

Can only find this mate http://www.hobbyairsoft.ie/Lonex-GB0184-M14-AUG- and it says in the description it will NOT fit in a G&G classic m14 Can only really find this http://www.evike.com/products/30563/ and tbh it looks almost identical to the Lonex one. Would this be all I need to hopefully fix my problem?

What? Everything I read up on about 2 tone guns was its only against the law to actually sell a non 2 toned gun if the buyer doesnt have a ukara license? If its sold as a tone tone then the buyer can do whatever he likes in respect of changing and respraying? EDIT: Maybe I'm wrong! Gone 2 non two toned guns atm, hope the police don't come knocking!

I thought a MOSFET was pretty important if you want to use lipos on a gun? Or is that for a higher voltage than 7.4?

And this http://www.airsoftworld.net/bolt-b4-lrp-airsoft-rifle.html Seems to have a very good write up, and I've seen a video of these bolt EBB rifles and they look awesome! On top of all that, they take lipos which is a massive incentive..

Cheers for all the advice mate, and you others that have helped loads, will defintely get to some games asap, not just to get ukara, but to just go and have some fun Been to plenty of paintball games, and love it, bit different, but its essentially the same, big difference is, owning a high end paintball gun isn't nearly as cool as the RIF's out there Do you have any suggestions on higher priced guns? That G&G looks pretty good, but doesnt seem to have a MOSFET and ideally i'd like lipos on my next buy. Going to have a look at those Krytec and tippmans.

Thanks for the advice mate, again, this site has been like a bible to me for learning But surely a brand new gun should come like this? Surely they test fire it before sending? If this had happened even 6 months after heavy use i'd kinda get it, but not straight from the box?

Just realised my biggest problem, no UKARA.. Considering both my current guns are now RIF's due to paint and part changes, I actually forgot I can't even buy them without the ukara license. Ffs. Guns going to go on hold for the meantime, not buying a 2 tone again, no way, whats the closest skirmish sight to north london? Does wolf armouries have a site nearby? Gonna get that ukara then buy a gun!

This is more or less exactly what I want to do, my origional question was "Is my m4 worth upgrading internally" SittingDuck basically put that as a no, so a new gun it is (Its a very sad situation to HAVE to buy another gun i know ) But I also did needed the info from Trigger and others about how to upgrade internal parts and good parts to buy, as I will now use my m4 as a guinea pig to learn much more about the internals of AEGs, so alot has been learned!

Edmonton mate, north london Thats the thing, I'd rather learn more on my current m4, than start from scratch with little knowledge, even if it means just stripping my gun down to the bare bones and trying to reassemble it, part of my interview 5 years ago actually was something similar, taking apart a pretty complex butterfly valve with a very crappy diagram, then putting it back together Just watched a video actually of a guy stripping a v2 gearbox, looks fiddly, lots of little bits and springs but nothing too daunting. Think i'm overthinking this a bit?!

I'm not too fussed about the money tbh dude, I earn enough to spend stupid amounts on this sort of thing, so i'd rather buy the best parts I can, aslong as they will all fit my gun anyways! It's weird, I work for coca cola, and my days are spent fixing machines that cost £2m! Gearboxs, motors, and lubrication and all that crap is what I do day in day out, but give me something I feel like I love and I don't wanna touch it until i know what i'm doing!!

Yeah I get what you mean mate, again, thanks for the help, this is just more of a long term project so I can basically learn more about the internals whilst also upgrading the gun. Best place to find these parts? Scattered around various airsoft sites? Ebay etc?
