  1. You can't go wrong, mate. They've been really really good. Best airsoft shop I know and probably one of the best shops of any type I've been in.
  2. Thanks for this, I'll add it to my list of retailers I might go with your suggestion or the asg short as they are really cheap. Or at least try them on in a game before lashing out £250 ish on a gas one. Some really nice info about CQB'ing with shotguns on this thread!
  3. Damn it, thank you for this!!! I wrongfully assumed all ASG would be trishot because of some earlier posts here and was looking at that. I'm "almost" tempted to go maruzen and get a shell catcher just because of the really small M1100 revision. I might instead save a bit more for a few months and go TM breacher
  4. Does this shop ships to the UK? Another q Is the ASG "tactical shotgun" the M1100 revision?
  5. Mine must have a super good seal. I've put an M110 madbull(light metallic blue) and gave me 365-370 on low to 410 ish on high ugh. Getting an SP90 and a madbull M100 to try and bring it to 345-350
  6. Ah, so TM shotguns aren't all plastic like their AEG and GBB?
  7. AYAYAYAY Ok before this thread goes tits up... I misused the word RIF. What I meant to say is, would any approach the real steel version in build, feel, materials used, weight? No UKARA need on this thread
  8. So when it was said that the ASG had only metal barrel, that's a long way from being RIF?
  9. Exactly. Ukara is used as a defence, but really is a retailer association. It's a safe method to sell RIFs in response to the 2006 act. So you need UKARA for buying. To have it around (if you get stopped by whatever reason) you need a valid defence. UKARA works. Site card membership works. Going to/from shop/site also works. I usually have fliers or airsoft invoices on my pouch.
  10. You need a valid "defence" to have them. If you are an actor, impersonator, "just taking it to the shop", "just bringing it from the shop" "going/coming from game" all valid defences
  11. In London they do random bag searches. I got stopped after buying a GBB. Had to show my UKARA. Also, helps that you tell them about the RIF, that you have a defence and ask the police if he could open the bag somewhere discrete. He was cool about it, he even joked how look a like it looked/felt, except it was "plasticky" (that's TM for ya!)
  12. I like the look of the small SAS12, M1100 revision or breacher. Guess I'll have to find out a couple of hours to look into the ASG, CYMA and Maruzen offers (i think they only offer shell ejecting I'm really liking the fact that you can get skirmishable shotguns for about £60 according to you guys. What parts are usually metal on real steel shotguns?
  13. Seriously, if you are not sure which weapon to buy, this! ^^ My team has quite a selection of rifles now from JG to ICS, CA to TM to top G&G. We still bring 2 of these and they never skipped a beat! Light, portable, they interface with a lot of other gear. You get a nice amount of mags for these, you can then still get any weapon that uses M4/M16 mags and not have to re-buy mags. For the price, you can't go wrong. Best weapon you can get. If you decide to get something else in the future, keep it as a reserve, or for a mate that wants to join you for a weekend or something. EDIT: Also, these variants has the most spare parts out there EDIT2: http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=6076 this is the one we carry.
  14. I REALLY wouldn't do this. Don't skip on the eye protection. if there's one thing you should REALLY put your money on is eye protection. I've seen way too many pics of facemasks from ebays and even airsoft retailers break with a 320 ish FPS .2 BB. Also, most of the glasses marked EN166 F do not offer enough protection for most woodland sites. Don't just get "something". Get a proper mask, or a proper googles/eyeshields. Whichever fits you best and it's more comfortable and safe for you. I've wasted way too much money buying crappy guns, ended up selling to fund for proper eyewear. Had a few close calls. One of the bolle glasses got hit in the lens and the lens popped out. I then tried googles, eyeshields and meshes to find which sits better. Again, your skirmish site may have a selection for you to try and rent, or ask other players. I've been always very lucky with other players sharing/letting me try stuff and I've returned the favour as often as I could.
  15. That's a really good question. Are only the Marui that have adjustable hop? How do you know which models are metal and which ones are plastic?
  16. is that an M870? Yeah never really trusted the brand name CYMA, but I guess I'll need to stop by a shop and have a look. A lot of people swearing by them lately.
  17. Happy, is this your SAS? http://airsoftzone.co.uk/airsoft-guns/shotguns/franchi-sas-12-short-3round-burst-shotgun-asg
  18. Niiiiice. Starting to change my opinion on springers then. Then again, my own fault for generalising things, specially as a newbie
  19. So the springers actually have a decent FPS and range? I thought they'd be like the cheaper pistol springers that are not much use in a game. (Note: I'm not an FPS buff, I just know that without enough force, people just won't feel/take their hits)
  20. I was the one that asked that, not Scarathe
  21. So, no to the scabards and no to the water pouches as holsters
  22. Is this the model with the gas tank on the grip? Wow thank you for the awesome answers guys. It did change my perspective on shotguns a bit. I thought it would be worth to try and get the models that do six shot, but from what you are saying the trishot spread is actually quite good. And I did not think of anyone using it as a main weapon. I was kinda curious about the M1100 revision, but might consider something else due to the shell ejecting. Also was looking for ideas on quick draw, eg on the back, or on the belt, if anyone had experience with this.
  23. I just got a delivery of 4 PTS EPM emags. really solidly built, the plastic is really rugged and durable. The indicator for "full" is a nice feature. Downed a whole mag on my ICS L85 and didn't skip a beat!
  24. Sorry if there's already a post like this, but I tried to search, but didn't find anything exactly like this (a few reviews, etc. but this is not what it is). So, what shotgun would you pick for a CQB? Would it be a backup or a main gun? Multishot or singleshot? shell ejecting or shell containers? How do you catch your shells during game (if you have a shell ejecting shotgun? If it's a side weapon, how do you holster it in the back? How does the extra weight feel? What's your favourite propulsion system? gas? springer? Share your shotgun weapons/loadouts/brand preference/propulsion type
