  1. Jack, Just wanted to add a couple of things that hasn't been mentioned: Different weight BBs will fly differently so obviously zero with the BBs you're going to play with. And before you start adjusting your sights, get your hopup setting correct.

    Best bbs?

Has anyone used Elite Force BBs? What are they like?
  3. G&P are a very good M4 brand as well. But if it's between TM and G&P, then TM even though I've never owned one myself. Just so much good word of mouth around TMs in general.
  4. What's your budget? and what sort of sites will you be playing at? CQB or woodland?
  5. Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone has had experience with the Prometheus hop up Neo Strike chamber? One of these: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/prometheus-neo-metal-chamber-strike-chamber-set-for-marui-m16a2-m4a1-1.html#.VLMbCSusV8E I got my hands on one of these and I was wondering if anyone knew what the O-ring that it comes with is for (see picture in link above). I have managed to put everything together but I couldn't see where I should be putting the O-ring. Any ideas? Where the screw is meant to screw down to hold the final cog, I found that it didn't have any threading. Did anyone else find this? I used the screw from my existing hop up unit to twist in and create my own threading. Unfortunately I've now snapped the screw itself! Anyone know where I can get a replacement screw? I think I will have to drill the snapped end off somehow... Anyone with suggestions would be great! Thanks.
  6. I'm surprised no one has mentioned G&P. I own a G&P M4 Special Operations. Great out of the box. They have tonnes of M4 variants. Just note that all their guns are based on Deans connectors (which is a good thing).

    Screws

Thanks guys. I'll try Maplin first before going to eBay. Already tried B&Q and Halfords. I'll come back to let you know how I get on...

    Screws

I have a Classic Army M4 magazine and it is missing the screw that goes in the bottom of the mag. Anyone know where I can get one? I am also missing a small screw for the rear iron sight adjustment knob. I guess the question is, how can I identify what screws I am missing in general and how can I source them? Thanks!
  9. Just bare in mind that as you are reducing the inner barrel as well, you might need a new cylinder for your gearbox matched to the new inner barrel length.
  10. There's a ukara website where anyone can check a potential buyer's ukara status. Obviously, one can sell without checking and no one will know but if the buyer does something irresponsible, then I'm sure the police will be all over the seller as well.
  11. Hi inhen, I'm going to the Sandpit tomorrow with another forum member if you want to join. I don't know how far it is for you though...
  12. Never mind. We went ahead and met up and decided that we'll be going to the sandpit on Sunday? Fancy coming? I've hired a zip car for it.
  13. Awesome, see you there. I'll pm my mobile number to you. Anyone else fancy joining us?
  14. Any reason why you would go for the LCT over the G&G? The G&G has blowback which, although unnecessary, is quite a cool feature.
  15. I'm thinking of getting one of these: http://www.guay2.com/web/gt_product/rk47.php?lang=en http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_318_403&products_id=6177 Does anyone have one? What do you think? I've been looking around for a decent AK and decided with this so far. Just wondered what people thought and if they would get a different make. Budget-wise, probably happy to spend as long as I get a decent gun out of the box and won't be needing to upgrade etc.
  16. Found a pub outside London Bridge Station. BrightCandle/Suzuki, are you up for meeting there Wednesday around 6pm/6:30pm? And anyone else fancy coming along? http://www.barrowboy-and-banker.co.uk/
  17. Hi brightcandle, unfortunately can't make this Saturday. Up for it the following Saturday as mentioned though. As for a drink, I'm free all those days too. Happy to meet London bridge.
  18. Ok, screw it. If I said that I will hire a Zipcar for either Saturday 25th October or Sunday 26th October (depending on the site), who would be up for it? If so, drop me your postcode and I will start thinking about routes.
  19. Ha ha, funny you should say that. When I first started airsoft 10 years ago, it was at an university society. I was literally hiring a minibus to take us groups of students to various sites every month.
  20. Thanks for everyone's answers. Interesting answers but man, I didn't expect to see a thesis on this subject! Bookmarking it on my phone so that I can read it on the toilet...
  21. I just came across this table in an old post on the forum. Is this correct? If so, can someone explain to me with a bit of science how a heavier bb can fly further that a lighter one??? I consider myself pretty knowledgeable in science but this has me completely baffled.
  22. Thanks! Let me know when you are sorted out kit/car-wise. Otherwise join us if we manage to organise drinks!
  23. Wow, quite pleased with the responses I've received. BrightCandle, that's actually the kind of response I was hoping for. Happy to meet up for a beer or even just meet up for airsoft. Where about in SE London are you? Where do you work? Just trying figure out where the best would be if we were to meet up for a drink. The Mall is pretty good and shouldn't require an overnight journey if you can get to Paddington station easily. It's actually next to Reading train station (2 min walk) which is only 35min from Paddington. I'm actually going to go with a few friends on 9th Nov (but won't be via Paddington as I'll be in Reading the night before). You're more than welcome to come join. If not, then we can go together elsewhere another time. Sitting Duck, I've been meaning to check out the Tactical Warfare sites. Urban one is closed now right? Will let you know when I get myself down there. What do you think of it? Suzuki, what frustrates you about Bunker 51? Zipcar cost £75 for the day plus mileage (60 miles for free). Happy to share the cost and would be even cheaper if we get a third person. So how many more Londoners do you know and do you generally go airsofting together? Also, if we arrange to meet up with BrightCandle for a drink, would you be interested in joining (or anyone else who's reading this interested in joining?)?
  24. Thanks for the warm welcome. Suzuki, I'm not far from Elephant & Castle. I've not been anywhere regularly but The Mall in Reading as I don't have a car and rely on public transport. Want to check out other sites but don't fancy going alone. Want to check out Bunker 51 as that's the only other site I know that is accessible to me via public transport. I'm also considering using the Zipcars to go airsofting at some more remote places but renting those cars are expensive! Where are you based Suzuki? Any other Londoners here?
