ASG CZ PO9 co2 mags are very good.

I'm looking at the secutor rudis range and they seem to be very well received. Other than that, the vfc ppq look enticing too but as it stands, probs gonna stick to the shitty we for now.

A buddy of mine has the Secutor Rudis. And he thoroughly loves it. I have been shot by it, and have shot it, it’s decent, but nothing to write home about.

any ideas on commercial 3d printing costs? kinda wanna design stuff and print them out

    Hi.

Your best bet to print in metal is shapeways. You can upload the stl and get the cost.

I’ve also been looking into this to make a TA648 housing in which to fit a standard 4x32 ACOG for a DMR.

What's a good lightweight sniper rifle scope?

You want the higher ones. Low profile ones might not let you mount the scope.

Once you have a working set of higher ones you can start to mess about finding lower ones having measured the gap. Taking the guess work out of it. Nothing worse than going too low.

Higher ones will also help with that dyei4 mask in your profile! Again going to low will mean you have to bring the rifle up higher to the eye. It's generally easier to have the scope higher and the adjustable butt plate extended down to make  your sighting position as natural and comfortable as possible. It'll improve your aim because everything will be working with your body shape rather than you having to contort to the gun.

    In woodland I’d definitely suggest a 40 objective over a 32.

The Front element size means nothing. You have to look at the FOV values.

The Curve of the front element will give you more field of view not the size of the glass. A larger element may give better light transfer but only on a decent scope.

Looking at a static point 100M away the area you will see through each scope.

    The 2-7x32 has 15.5M at 2x and 4.7M at 7x.
    The 3x9x40 has 13M at 3x and 4.2M at 9x.

A different brand vortex also do a 3x9x40.
It only has 10.4M at 3x and 3.8M at 9x. Flatter front element.

Vortex also do a 3-9x50. Larger front element
It has even less FOV. 9.8M at 3x and 3.9M at 9x.

It's not a clear cut solution to just think more glass is better. Never has been. The disadvantage of a more curved front element is distortion at the field edges. However that only has a major effect if you need to use the full scope for a holdover. We don't have the range in airsoft to care about this.

Light transmission is a factor, but technology has pushed glass manufacture to a point where even cheap lenses can have clear glass with good light transmission. Long gone are the days of dark scopes because you couldn't afford premium glass.

Flatter elements are better for parallax adjustment for range finding. They give better target separation so you can use the scope as a more effective range finder provided you know the size of the object you are shooting at. Again very useful for target shooters and snipers since they operate against targets of know size. And can use a conversion table of size, zoom and parallax to work out holdovers for a killing shot.

I am a little confused: when I use the maple leaf glock hop up, gun fires at 290 fps with minimal hop, but with the stock we hop up, it fires 350 avg... gonna test more

Ye, just got up to test it: fires 310-320 fps now which is much more preferable. I don't have a chance to test the range but it should be good enough tho the arm only pushes down the front part of the autobot bucking rather than the whole thing as compared to the maple leaf. But we'll see how that goes.

I can fit the wheel but not the I key or the arm because they are too wide.

Can someone link me a good quality trigger for a we g18c? I'm about to kms ?

jesus chrsit this editor is aids

proper edit: finally managed to punch out the body pin, gonna see what's wrong

actually, i'm not sure what's broken... sometime probably got stuck and fell out

ok it acctually works now wtf...

AHAHAH IT WAS BECAUSE THE SAFETY WAS ON ffs. It shook itself into place ?

Hahahahahahaha trigger assembly broke now... nice WE

Finally got the sru slide off ups from trying to bullshit their way to keep my product. Had consistency issues from the internals that SRU supplied with. Swapped them all for stock we parts, so I might have as well saved $50 from just buying the slide itself (contacting evike about it). And now the little metal bendy wire for the trigger just snapped which means the trigger doesn't work anymore. I LOVE WE!

    shoulda returned it lol

WE's g18 blowback unit is actually... pretty consistent. The one that came with the SRU slide is actually complete trash.

Looks more like slag/dross contamination rather than a vug/gas pocket. Or  if it's sintered metal it's a lack of heat and or flux.

The metal shows no signs of a decent bond at the break, Shows no signs of metal wetting. There are no stress marks round the break that would be expected with a standard break. No peeling of the surface, thinning surrounding the crack. And most importantly a stress break like this will never fit back together if the casting materials were sound due to the stretching effect at the crack point.

I would chance that your lump fits right back in place, and you can hardly see the crack line.

    Materials defect, plain and simple.

If they fail to comply have a word with your mates and see if they know anyone on an engineering degree, That has a materials module. And if they do ask them to ask the materials department if  they can have a look at the images and give you a visual  analysis of the break.

i'd say green gas going by the mag in the photo, and i'm making the presumption that the op wasn't stupid enough to put something like co2 in a green gas mag.

    A
    AK47frizzle
Na, I give. It is partially my fault for using co2 mags even though it was only at 310 fps. It is a mixture of it being a lemon slide + me using co2 which apparently, invalidates their policy.

There is still something to said about milspec customer service though, because whilst they aren't wrong, they've taken a reach douchey way about it claiming that it is their first time hearing about slides breaking and not dealing with it just because it is not a "known issue".

Can't win this, just time to move on. I wouldn't be able to return it anyway because I was retarded enough to pass the gas mag on. Ah well. Guess i'll be looking at new slides.

Where do you go to check your or other people's Ukara validity?

    L
    L3wisD
Frank at Fire-Support is my go-to for this.

    Always happy to help.

    A
    AK47frizzle
Do you just call them directly?

    L
    L3wisD
    Pretty much.

Ring Fire-Support, tell them you're selling a RIF 2nd hand and you'd like to verify the other guys UKARA.

He'll ask for the UKARA, their name and postcode (so be sure to get this first) and then let you know if it's valid.

The glock hop up is genuinely one of the worst designs ever

    A
    AK47frizzle
I have it, but it's still bad. Inconsistency in pressure makes it lop sided

    A
    AK47frizzle
Yes all maple leaf and it still isn't straight at all. I might get some pliers to pull the arm out a bit

K, so WE co2 mags do just a little over 4 25rnd mags on one co2 cartridge with the lowest fps being 321. I can imagine it only being better with the upgrades i'm about to do to it.

    A
    AK47frizzle
Ok, new maple leaf barrel, hop and bucking and it shoots 320-300 fps consistently now from 360 avg wtf
