start quoting consumer rights then, and don't take the "oh you'll have to take it up with the manufacturer" bs

I have no idea how to approach this haha, can you point me to a direction? I do believe, for it to break that quickly and not even been through a single skirmish, it is a little bit unacceptable.

Just the standard consumer rights advice in terms of the goods not being fit for purpose as this is plainly not a case of wear and tear.

"This is the second most popular selling pistol replica in the market.

If they were not fit for purpose then there would literally be hundreds coming back which is not the case.

There would be posts and comments all over Facebook which is also not the case."

Haha they're clearly not having it.

that actually proves your point, that the specific pistol you have has a manufacturing defect that makes it not fit for purpose, and that it's popularity and extensive use by others proves that 2 weeks does not constitute normal wear and tear.

bad customer service is bad customer service, just because this is airsoft doesn't mean the statutory rights don't apply.

i'll just begin a dispute on paypal if they don't resolve by email

Might be worth starting a dispute anyway.

It's amazing how it often prompts retailers into changing their minds..

Ye I did and asked for £57 which is the cost of the exact same slide. Nothing biggie and should be resolved quick hopefully.

Might be a bad batch of casting alloy.

Best bet in this instance would be to contact the manufacturer directly, Stating the store didn't want to deal with it at all. Name the store.

Give them the serial numbers and any serials on the slide.

And sent pictures of every angle, Every external defect on the break on both parts.  As close and as high a resolution as you can.

The more you show them the more chance you have of getting this resolved.

To my eye it looks like there is a vug/gas void on the broken piece (Right hand side in the image). That would be the key area to photograph in my mind.

oh wow, note to self to avoid dealing with these folk.

https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/consumer-rights-act

it's not of satisfactory quality, i think you'd have to search a long time to find an airsofter who would expect a pistol like that to break so quickly, and a catastrophic failure like that blatantly means it's not fit for purpose.
