  • sooooo.... we co2 mags were advertised to shoot 310 fps on 0.2s.... they shot 378 on first and averaged ~368-340. That's not good.

Hence a fair few sites don’t allow Co2 guns on site

Guess i will need an npas

Wait, i will see what will happen when the maple leaf hop, crazy jet, and some amg upgrades will do first

Holy moly stock we hop up chambers are horrific

which gun? i've found we stuff to be very variable, some stuff like the 226 and the makarov are excellent (especially the makarov) but other stuff like the luger need to stretch the definition of "hop"

we g force g18c. Full hop only pushes one side down haha but glad i bought a maple leaf which is on the way

yeah a common theme i've noticed is both the sig and makarov needed a wee spacer (just a cut up square of aeg hop) to get enough lift to run a maple leaf.

however, considering the sig now saves itself for when i feel like going on sniper troll patrol the results are quite impressive.

that said, i had to pull the same trick on my hicapa when i got it (admittedly secondhand).

Fuck i'm just going to buy a we g18c from the uk/eu. It's really not worth hassle of customs from hk websites. I'll pay the extra £20.

I want to use co2 tho and there are upgrades available

@GemsHD If you use a green gas it's true that the front screw post likes to destroy itself, but a Guarder frame (has more plastic and a brass insert around the front post) will fix that right up and feels nicer too.

Urgh, I can't stand buying from outside the common market.  VAT + duty + then being pumped with a charge for the privilege of being allowed to pay VAT + duty is the insult after the injury. I prefer to pay up front rather than to wait for a random spin on the Wheel-O-Imports.

Anyone bought from Crownairsoft before? Should I expect a customs hit?

    A
    AK47frizzle
I did some calculations and for a we g18 pistol, it would cost around £100 including shipping and customs 20% hit. It would cost £125 to just buy from milspecsolutions next working day...

    Hmm. Choices.

Well I think that solves that problem for you ! ??

Never heard of them either so caveat emptor.  I was surprised when in HK earlier in the year how small many of these retailers are.  Even well known ones such as ehobby and WGC are relatively small affairs.

Honestly... I'd rather have a lightweight sniper rifle and a pistol than a good performing aeg because it's more fun after playing my game yesterday. Gonna sell my M4 (never liked those).

Get a short sniper and pistol in one! TM Mk23 upgraded.

    S
    sonofsammo
    @Prisce - nearly right - get two!
TM mk23 for side arm, upgraded ASG mk23 with long barrel and carbine kit for DMR - and kill ALL the people!

    P
    Prisce
To be fair, I would probably suggest the ASG Mk23, with one of @Samurai‘s suppressors, ML50, ML fang, Hadron TDC mod, Crazy jet 132mm barrel. Feed it .4g+ and you won’t want anything else.

That lot there won’t set you back £100 if you get from the right places;)

Whelp. The plastic hop up chamber that I had which was the only one that fit the maple leaf blew up (just stopped functioning) today. Rip my shooting experience.

owch, sucks man, i have literally the opposite to deal with here, 150fps m16 that'll reach out with the rest of the field not that people feel the hits when they get there.

What amazes me is when our horrifically expensive shoddy plastic and pot-metal toys actually work at all.

I had a weekend where all 3 guns I took chrono'd within 5fps of the limit, and shot flawlessly. 2 AUGs 1 G3.

My ex gun tech shooting partner on the other hand.

Stripped the securing bolt on his king arms slr. (looks like we will have to get a new bolt and insert machined up).

Failed to chrono the sa80. (15fps over)

Had a cyma AKM lower disintegrate, Mag lug just fell off it at the chrono.

He ended up using the gun he only took to chrono. WE M14 EBR with HPA conversion.

To cap off his day he took a BB point blank in the cheek coming round a wall. So he went home looking like the elephant man.

    Orga 6.23 in a hpa/co2/gbb good or a fallacy?

    proffrink
    proffrink
In my experience somewhat of a fallacy - surface finish matters more than bore diameter and I believe that for next to the same money a PDI 6.05 will serve you better, but I know of people who use them to great success.

    haha found this

    proffrink

Don't tell anyone that my opinion has changed :( Mine worked really well but up against the PDI stuff I own I've begun to see they're about the same and one is brass (and one is steel); one doesn't have a long pedigree and the other does, so that would be my reason to putting the PDI above it in the long-run. Also on Daytona Gun they (Orga wide bores) make a lot of sense in the MGs to be less prone to jamming and to reduce muzzle energy without hampering cycling, so with that specific set of circumstances I'd probably recommend one. I still use an Orga wide bore and Prometheus in that MG for those very reasons.

So in short: Is wider diameter any better? No. Will they perform just as well as any of the other top tier brands? Yes.

I've used heavier weights in a 6.05 with flat hops and R-hops to great effect. I believe the notion at the time was that the BB bouncing less on the walls (due to being cushioned mre by air in a wider bore barrel) would produce a more consistent stream of BBs when using anything above .25s, but I've not seen this. I don't think there's much of a consensus on the matter though as you're looking at a small subset of people who bother using .30s, .32s etc. and flat hop/R-hop and use a wide bore

uhhh.... so i tore one of the limbs off the lipo battery itself... is it done for? I can see some solder on the end of it so many it can be fixed but I don't have access to those tools atm.

    I
    Iceni
    Personally I wouldn't.

It can be done, but I personally don't think the risk (eyes, face, hands) outweighs £15 for another.

I'd chuck it in a pan in the garden, with the lid on, and take it to the tip at the first opportunity.

Agree with him self , for the sake of £10-15 not worth risking your self doing the repair AND the extra risk after when charging it or the risk to your gun from a potentially knackered battery ?

Got my maple leaf 50 degree and nub which works great. Though I had to use a plastic hop up chamber because the madbull 3 in 1 won't accept it...

Is there a huge difference between 0.4s and 0.45s in sniping?

    A
    AshOnSnow
If you use 0.4s, you may as well just stick to .20s in your pistol, there'll be no difference in range or accuracy.

If you use 0.43s or higher, the quantum toricelli effect comes into play and you will find your BBs will be like slicing through the air on rails for upwards of 150m. That's how the youtubers get those super long shots - with 0.43 and higher BBs.

I texted Flt Lt. Obvious first and he confirmed such characters were not necessary for the post in question.

Can an npas take 5 fps off a gbb? Say from 355 to 350? Yes, some guns are a real bitch.

    G
    GemsHD
    Yes, what GBB is it?

    A
    AK47frizzle
WE desert eagle which can fit an npas in it. It fires at 355-356 fps apparently as i've seen in multiple videos so I was wondering if an npas is precise enough to reduce about that much to 350 which is most site limits for pistols.

    G
    GemsHD
If it fits the NPAS then yes... but if it'sd firing that close to the limit I'd suggest swapping to a lower powered gas, it would bring it well within the limits, especially when it's hot!

Purchased a cheapo spring desert eagle to see if I can handle the size xd. If I can, might go for the we desert eagle for funsies.

Yeah mate go for it it’s the best deagle on the market

Saw your other reply: decided to not get one and going for a we g18c using co2 for reliability and full auto haha. Deagle would be great fun but it really is too big as a secondary as I saw someone use it the other day and was like, "fuck, i don't wannt wield that when i'm tired".

    H
    Harryhillsx97
Aha yeah it’s a big pistol but yeah it is fun the kick on it is amazing aswell
