 I remembered incorrectly, I actually cut the spring instead of swapping it. I use 0.45g normally as it was a bit over the limit when i got it, so I just cut a coil.

I have the b&t spr300. It is by far the best sniper rifle out of the box I've used  and I've used a lot. I only have extra mags for it, and upgraded the spring power and it still works just fine after a year.

As collin mentioned, look on the other side of the gearbox. When you squeeze the trigger, there is a part that rotates upwards in a curve. When you put it into safe, there should a plate with a knob that block its path. If it fires in safe, it probably means the knob is broken off or the plate...

Most likely the connection between the nozzle and bb is off. Check if the nozzle is cycling properly. Get a torch and look down the hop chamber or something when you're firing. Maybe the bucking is off alignment too.

Tbh most BBs are decent nowadays. You don't see much of those old 0.12g or 0.2g bags with bubbles in them anymore, at least in reputable stores and sites. I think it is harder to find a bad bag than a good one now.
