That seems very expensive for goggles that have been cut about to improve them. I assume they were even more money when new for which I would expect top notch performance.?

These are real steel googles and the original fan goggles so worth the price. The foam around the outside is to prevent sand getting in during a sand storm which isn't much of any issue in the UK hence removed the top for more airflow. Zero Fogging issues with these.
