Every month we receive reports of scammers operating on AF-UK. Protect yourself.
- We highly recommend using PayPal invoicing or payments, but not 'friends and family' (i.e. fee-free transfers).
- PayPal's dispute system gives you immediate recourse if something goes wrong. You no longer need a PayPal account to use this service - simply have the seller invoice your email and you can pay with any card.
- Following from the above, we strongly recommend against using direct bank transfers of any kind.
- Check a user's feedback by going to their profile - if they have none then you should be extra cautious.
It's up to you as the buyer to decide - very few methods of payment offer you immediate recourse if something goes wrong. You are using the AF-UK Classifieds section at your own risk.
