Re-kitting out. Help needed!

Hi guys,

As part of the re-kitting out process I need to get hold of a few accessories, and due to the bewildering amount of stuff out there these days I was wondering if anyone here can offer advice and feedback on some bits. Basically if it came out in the last five or so years then the chances are it's new to me, as I was last active regularly just as the new law change discussions and negotiations had started. Any help you guys can give is much needed, and greatly appreciated! :)

I figure that I can't ditch my fave TM G36c as there's already enough pennies sunk into that and have owned it since the day they were released pretty much! Also got a pair of TM G3SAS's that I will be getting ready for urban/indoor games for the missus and myself, and finally there's a pair of TM VSR springers that will be taken to 500fps for outdoor and woodland sites.

G36 - My custom wired batt seems fine, though I haven't run it out through the course of a day yet so we'll see about that when I can afford to raz a good few tubs of pellets through it.

Mags - I could do with some more hi-caps, and considering some mid-caps for more sim-y days, and also as they feed reliably better at high rof. Handy when running the voltages that my batt pack puts out (not metered it since digging my stuff out yet, but it used to belt out around 11-12v when fully charged).

So i've seen a good few mags significantly cheaper than the Maurui ones, can anyone recommend any of the cheapies to me to help save a few quid? Considering an electric box/drum mag too for support roles when needed to. Any recommendations there?

G3SAS's - Same goes really. Need some TM compatible G3 hi-caps for these. Any to avoid/go for if I see them on my travels?

Cheers guys, any pointers you can give are much appreciated! :)

magazines: All of these guys are good sellers and stock mags for you. Chinese clone mags will work as the majority of clones are TM clones. I think the only mags that won't work on a TM are SRC mags as the SRC g36 mags I have had before had a slightly different hop set up and would not feed in a JG g36 (tm clone)

All good shops that I have purchased off of before. As for your choice of mags, well that's up to you, though to be honest I wouldn't worry about a box mag if you have hi-caps. All the box mags I have had have been nothing but aggravation and frustration with not feeding right.

If your batteries are goosed, then go to the component shop, brilliant guys, will do you custom batteries with any connectors you like

hope that helps

Cheers guys.

Will look into those pull-cord jobbies methinks. Will probably get another couple of hi-caps as I always enjoyed the flexibility and speed swapping with the g36 mag-clip system. But the rattle... gah! So some mid-caps will have to be bought for stealthier games of course.

Airsoftsupplydrop have got some dboys, ufc, and jg mags in stock at the mo. They all seem like good deals, though of course im wary of cheapy stuff as last time I was around you generally got what you paid for. Are any of these manufacturers mags reliable?

The box mag thing is purely aesthetic for me really. A row of hi-caps clipped together does a grand job in the support role, and much more flexible too of course. I think I saw some motor fed (dboys again) drums going dirt cheap for like £20! I'm sure those sorta things were all around £100 last time I looked. :o

Also need a new vest as well, and if going more down the midcap route, then lots of mag-pouches are essential. A webtex cross draw would be nice, though you sacrifice some more mag-pouches for the sake of the holster, and I've heard that glock mags are a bit of a tight squeeze, so im thinking the std assault vest might be the way to go (i've got a leg holster anyway too, but would have to get another as I love having two pistols for when things get a bit John Woo).

Edit: It seems that Ares, UFC, and JG are just different brands of the same stuff according to what I can tell?

5 times?

We just used to drill a hole in the side of the mag case and twizzle an allen key. Can use a small motor with a hex nut on the end too - press the button and its wound in a jiffy.

And thanks for the shirt offer Craig, but i'm 6'4" and sorted for dpms anyway. :)

Not realy m8 a 120 round mag is £10 and the 360 round Lonex mags are £30 so its the same per BB and the Lonex mags are faster to reload
