Kazuya991 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago My playstyle is typically really mobile, including laying down or getting into the bushes - and with the November rain coming up I thought I’d start using tape. Does it generally help with wetter weather or more of an aesthetic thing?
Austeyr Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago You've basically just covered over the two pieces meant to help with grip, with something that will wear down pretty fast - Even more so if it gets wet WildBoneZ, Lyndication and Cannonfodder 3
Cannonfodder Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago In my experience tape like that only helps with grip if the area you're putting it on is smooth plastic. What it's good at is absorbing water and unraveling so it can get caught on bushes
Enid_Puceflange Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago If anything , I’d be putting ranger bands on the grips, a couple of them twisted and layered will provide grip and not absorb moisture Cannonfodder 1
Lyndication Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I have my MP7 set up with that exact same handguard and foregrip, funnily enough. They're plenty grippy for a mildly damp day. Not sure if you're planning to join the SBS and become a frogman or something.
Emergencychimps Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago When I had mine, I felt the pistol grip was a bit, plasticy and bendy and adding some tape made it feel a bit more rigid. Unless you're planing on adding hand warmers I can't see it doing anything to improve performance.

Don’t bow down to peer pressure, do what’s best for you Nobody is going to see it when your mitts are all over it on the field, and that’s when comfort and grip matters! Another suggestion, if it’s grip you want , would be to Stipple it with a soldering iron There’s hundreds of videos on YT showing how to do it, in loads of different styles Start off on the vert grip, as that’s easier to replace if you fcuk it up 👍
