Punisher3990 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) Good evening all, I have been looking at slings etc.The idea being that if a CQB situation occurs, i can hang the rifle and draw my sidearm as I have a SA LVOA an its fairly long. Got myself a viper 2 point sling and I then got some sling points from Amazon, these ones: Amazon tat They arrived and seemed solid, i inserted them and tested them out. To my horror, one of them disconnected itself; luckily, I managed to grab the foregrip and save the rifle. I investigated further, and a weak tug on these popped them out incredibly easy Does anyone know of any relaible QD points I can get I do have a video it it popping out really easy. Is this just a poor QD point or are the slots on my gun faulty? 20250831_234903 (1).mp4 Edited 14 hours ago by Punisher3990 spelling grammar etc HZR13 1
Austeyr Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago To be honest, QD in airsoft tends to be iffy. Sometimes the replica QD mounts are made too big, other times the QD attachment points are made poorly. The only way to get a "guaranteed" solid QD is unfortunately real steel I've found, which obviously gets expensive pretty fast.

Maybe £30 on a R/S qc sling point, vs the possible damage and repairs that could possibly result in a replica hitting the ground. Personally, I prefer a loop style sling point and use an HK style attachment Just as fast, and I trust it more to support the £100 (how much I told my mrs it cost) gbbr replicas 😉🤫 Austeyr and HZR13 2

If you’re using a £150 Aeg, spending £80 odd on a way to secure a sling I would consider to be expensive however if you’re putting those same parts onto a £800 GBBR then of course it’s more justified imo HZR13 1

If you're dead set on qd mounts then you're better off spending a bit more on better quality ones but bear in mind there's the chance that it could be the qd slot on the rif that's the problem (not likely but still a possibility). Like Mr Puceflange above, I prefer the HK style sling hook ascites feels far more secure Enid_Puceflange and HZR13 2
