Paletraveller279 Posted August 8 Posted August 8 (edited) Looking to disassemble my 6 year old TRMR as now the pin sometimes fails to engage (not a primer issue). Saw a previous post linking a tutorial, but this is currently unavailable. Does anyone know how to do this or can link a guide? Many thanks. Edited August 8 by Paletraveller279
Supporters Rogerborg Posted August 12 Supporters Posted August 12 Sadly, no, I've never found one, or got mine apart. I also had light striking and have ameliorated it a bit by copious silicone lube around the wobble-head, by filing the bottom edge of the top part so that it screws slightly more tightly to the base, and by fitting a stronger spring in my tri-shot base to push the rotating centre section up more firmly. Best of luck.
Paltala Posted August 20 Posted August 20 If the pin is failing to engage, it might be about to break. The pin in mine snapped and as a result I now have a paperweight given TRMRs aren't in production anymore from what I've been able to find out. I would imagine disassembly involves what appears to be 3 pins surrounding the firing pin, possibly knocking them through to release something else. Given mine is useless, I should give it a go to be honest. Ksepticon 1
