tside Posted Friday at 12:02 Share Posted Friday at 12:02 Hi airsofters I have a JG aks74u ebb that's had nothing but problems. However the steel body is of great quality. Can I remove the V3 gearbox and ebb mechanism and drop in a standard v3 from a cyma ak in as a replacement? Any shout out of possible issues or incompatibilities would be much appreciated
BigStew Posted Friday at 12:35 Share Posted Friday at 12:35 If you stick with a JG gear box it will be drop in. You could just get a standard V3 shell and transfer the internals that would be cheaper than an entire gearbox.
Supporters Adolf Hamster Posted Friday at 12:47 Supporters Share Posted Friday at 12:47 If its the type i've seen before, you can remove the linkage that hooks into the back of the box and run it without the "recoil" Then you can just run a standard piston etc and have a standard aeg with a slightly more fiddly removal of dust cover components. tside Posted Friday at 12:51 Author Share Posted Friday at 12:51 So while I've been having a quick fiddle with the problem parts I've discovered the motor height adjustment was awful changed the pistol grip and re tightened the screw and it's properly turning over again Just working in that hook now thanks for the advice

So one of the things I wanted to do was take the frankly unkillable gearbox from my old cyma o28 and put it in the nicer less plasticky bodies but I think I might have disabled some of the issues the JG was having anyway again much appreciated any and all advice
