GiantKiwi Posted March 31 Share Posted March 31 (edited) If you're on an ISP that doesn't provide static IP's (AFAIK only Zen give you one without asking) just renew the IP lease (go into the router's admin panel, disconnect from ISP and then reconnect). Galvatron Posted April 1 Share Posted April 1 You don't have to dictate Milton or Tolstoy but you could give us a bit more rope to help you. What's not working? A VPN, resetting your router or both? Is there a change in your IP address? There are 4 octets in the number punctuated by a decimal. Your broadband/WAN IP address is the one you need to pay attention to. If that stays the same with a router soft reset (turn it off and on), you may have a static IP or if only the last octet changes, you may have a limited dynamic address that an IP block could be set to cover. It may be worth trying a few free VPN apps on your phone. Not all VPNs work the same way as some may still show the same IP address even if they mask your physical location.
