Can anyone explain to me the difference between a VFC GBBR and VFC GBBR “EU VERSION” which seem to be a bit cheaper ?

I’ve emailed two retailers both of which have just ignored me and thus ignored my money 😛

M733 -

Flat top EU Version

i don’t seem to be able find anything online , is it a trademark thing ? IE the EU version is a blank receiver ?

Yup trade mark thing. Stuff marketed to the EU that does not want to pay dues to Umarex.

so are they just completely blank ?  No one seems to have any images online 🤷🏼‍♂️

Trademarks and potentially inclusion of an NPAS.

EU version actually refers to the spec . They are zinc bolt carrier AND trigger parts where as the regular version has steel trigger parts . Also EU version usually comes with CO2 magazine

Umarex has nothing to do with those rifles as they are not H&K or Glock based

very helpful , and for the internals that certainly explains the price difference .

Am I going mad or is there literally zero reviews , images or proper details out there on these ?

https://www.umarex.com/products/airguns/brands/heckler-koch.html

"UMAREX is the world’s largest manufacturer of over-the-counter firearm replicas and the largest importer of air guns in Europe. Founded in 1972, the mid-sized company is now run by the second generation of the two founding families. It has approximately 1,000 employees worldwide. The key to the company’s success has been the acquisition of licenses to build replicas of well-known weapons, which then can be sold without restrictions. Umarex currently holds licenses for the brands Beretta, Browning, Colt, GLOCK, Heckler & Koch, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, IWI and Walther."

Not sure where you are getting the parts difference from any info you could link to please?

It's common VFC bullshit. They make a version for asia with decent components, then alternative markets get costcutting versions - zamak is the Zinc alloy they cheap out on with.

which is fair enough because the retail price has been cut too . However … retailers explaining this to the end user seems to be non existent , which irks me .

has anyone on here actually seen one though ? Or got one ? Some actual pictures of the externals & internals wouldn’t go amiss 👍🏼

Quite a lot of the time you play the lottery, as very few retailers are that honest about which version they're selling.

HRC discord will have photos, there are VFC fanboys galore on there.
