Matt Gordon
BackDraft Innvoations HPA unit with FCU Comany review and unit notes So, for a while I've been watching the Backdraft Innovations Channel. Specifically Aidan has desined and is selling his own HPA Engine, which also includes an FCU. Aidan is a one man band in the US who decided to manuafcture and market his own HPA Engine to conpare with the known brands of HPa like Wolverine and Polarstar. His goal originally, was to design his own HPA Engine and FCU, But he also ended up with such a good build at a great price, he decided to Sell them as a product. I've got to admit, Being able to watch a manukfacturer go through the build process to a fully working unit was the main reason why i watched his vids, but to have an engine that retailsout (in the US) at $250 all in is just jaw dropping. To compare.... Average prices for other engines (prices from hpauk) Mancraft PDik Gen3 £249.99 (mechanical, semi only) Wolverine Gen2 Inferno £329.99 Polarstar Jack £339.99 Polarstar Kythera £299.99 (mechanical, semi only) Gate Pulsar S with Titan FCU £484.98 Redline N7 Gen2 £299.99 Redline N7 Gen2 Milsim £284.99 (mechanical, semi only) Hopefully this will make the other manufacturers of HPA engines look at what they supply and at what cost. As it stands I think the cheapest ElectronicHPA engine after this is The HPA engine is a drop in unit. And is simple to install and maintain. The FCU has Semi, Full Auto, 3 round burst, Binary (yuck) and also has dwell and Delay adjustablity. They also have an extensive parts stock and sell all part on their site in order for you to find the parts you need super easy. The units are available in the Uk from hpauk, at a price of £259.99 + shipping) Link to UK reseller - https://highpressureairsoft.co.uk/ Website - https://backdraftinnovations.com/ Youtube Channel - https://www.youtube.com/@BackdraftAirsoft I'll write an install and usage review, and do a youtube install video when I get the chance. But overall I'm looking forward to adding this to my loadout. To confirm, I don't have anything to do with Backdraft Innvoation, or hpa uk. This is just my view and research on this. Cannonfodder
Looks interesting, I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this thread to see how it goes 21 hours ago, harleyd said: its lovely but not for me as i prefer single shot but very good build Are there problems with using semi auto? If so can you elaborate please. Or is it a case of I've got the wrong end of the stick and you just prefer bolt action guns? I think they just mean that they preffere a DMR setup rather than a Full Auto gun Cannonfodder
