Fuse

Recommended Posts

My son’s AK74U air soft rifle fuse just blew. I’ve been trying to get it out but it’s won’t come out. I have the plastic off the 25 amp car fuse but I can’t get it out of the metal connectors that are inside the plastic cover. If anyone has any pointers it would be greatly appreciated. I don’t want to make a cheap fix into an expensive one.
thank you in advance

They're just tight (which is good)

Just pull em while wiggling.

The more worrying thing is figuring out why it blew.

Replace with the same value fuse and if it keeps happening it will need more investigation.

(Its not running on an 11.1v LiPo I hope)

I have been doing that. It is running on the 11.1. Is that an issue?

Was able to get it off carefully using a screw driver. Have to get more 25 amp fuses now. Is that battery no good for this gun. Thank you by the way

11.1v does put a lot more stress on the mechanical parts and is not recommended unless stated by the manufacturer (or on the sale page)

They can be used at your own risk as breakage of parts is more likely due to extra stress and wear.  Also any damage will likely be worse due to higher energy involved.

Most electric rifles are rated for the 7.4v LiPo's  (Of course the gun will feel a bit more sluggish after using 11.1 😉)

A good intelligent charger is also important to prevent fires and ensure the longevity of the batteries.

Always unplug them when not in use.

I appreciate all that information. He is just getting into it so I know little about it. Does make sense, and I’d rather it feel sluggish than break all the time if I were him. We did buy a nice charger I believe. Thank you again for the information

When you get it started up again, go carefully. It may have blown because the gun is jammed somewhere.
