First post, so be gentle.

I have acquired a Well G197 as a boneyard project.

I have stripped it and compared it to another.

I need to replace the roller for the hammer group and possibly replace the trigger as I can see it catching on the inside when I operate the trigger.

any advice on where to get parts?  Is it worth doing?

Welcome SilverBugleSon.

Hmm, not heard of a place that does Well bits.  Maybe worth seeing if WE or TM parts might be compatible.

Its worth £75 new so up to you how much you want to throw at it.

@rocketdogbert there’s no roller on the hammer assy.  So I guess replace the Assyrian rather than trying to source a single roller.

on pulling the trigger, i feel a hesitation after about half travel. Looking at the action with no mag in and slide off, the centre section of the trigger seems too low and has to jump slightly.   Easier to show with pics, if it would help.

It also leaks when the co2 cart is fitted.  I’m going to replace all the seals and lube the seals in the mag.

@EDcase - it was £20 and my first foray into repair, so not too much.   I’ll try WE/TM bits ans see what happens.

many thanks both for the warm welcome and replies! 😀

Is it the co2 version? If so it should be we compatible ish. Be prepared to modify parts and spend more than buying a new one.

So, piccies!!!

Comparing this to another 17, I think there’s a roller missing.  Red circle. So ordered one that looks similar.

if that doesn’t work,  I may get a WE/TM compatible hammer group.

then on the inside, looking down and forward towards the barrel.

the middle paddle on the trigger appears to catch where the red arrow and line are.

it jumps over eventually and it feels like a long travel as well.

new trigger or is there a way to lift it up?

it’s the co2 version, but I have seen green has mags for it.
