Pew
Hey guys and gals been looking at Crye gear as we all have done at one time or another, my question to the collective knowledge and experience of this forum is as follows... A) Where can I buy fatty sizes other than online retailers which want 200-300 for G4's Do they come up privately at all? B) Has anyone ever seen a pair bigger than a 36" waist for sale anywhere C) Are they worth it? I'm far from an elitist player and have just as much fun in a pair of jeans and a hoody but I would like to go to the next step in terms of combat kit and my old issued gear isn't cutting it anymore. D) Whats the sizing like? big, small true to size? Before anyone starts iam aware losing weight is the easiest answer but im looking for now not 12 months down the line. Help me Obi Wan's, you're my only Hope!

Supporters TheFull9 Posted November 1, 2020 Supporters Share Posted November 1, 2020 38+ Crye size G3s will show up 2nd hand in the uk occasionally (ebay, facebook groups) but that's getting pretty damn rare when you get up to those sizes. I'm biased since we're mates but I have tons of stuff from roman and I'm pretty certain he makes your size. You can guarantee you'll get what you need then and in basically any camo you like for much less money than buying Cryes retail. Takes a few months but then we're in lockdown anyway so if you're already on a good diet plan and seeing the weight come off just order a slightly smaller size than what you are now. Admittedly they'd be tricky to re-sell if you get a niche camo and carry on losing weight, but there's a market for large sizes in any multicam variant/US woodland. Dirty plug - order my version (ask for the full 9 cut) and they'll have less pockets but all the camo will actually be in line.
Pew
Since i posted ive been chatting to a lad on a Crye selling page on Facebook and have managed to track down a pair of Gen 3's in fat boy size which he is happy to sell. They're also cheaper than the Roman keks which im pretty chuffed at. But yeah Roman or another guy i was pointed in the direction of was Denis Lipovec, been chatting to him and he has some cool stuff not quite on the level of Romans though. Help me Obi Wan's, you're my only Hope! Crye gear is good, and I have used in the past on occasion when it was issued ( not often I might add ) but if I had to buy it myself, I don’t think I would. Helikon do some great gear that is often cheaper and do all sizes. I have bought a bit of Helikon gear in the past and it lasted ages.
clumpyedge
If you have the paper to put down just go with Clawgear or UFPro IMO.
