feardorcha58
Hi there, I have a Smith &Wesson SW1911PD pistol I bought some years ago. It is co2 at the moment and I always had problems with it, mainly leaky seals. My question, what gas refillable mag can I get to replace the one I have. Is there another make which would fit it? I have tried the supplier where I bought it and no joy ! All answers appreciated.
BigStew
Would need to know the make of your gun. Smith and wesson don't make airsoft guns so at this point we dont have enough information.

E21A
KJW is the brand
feardorcha58
Thanks, so you are saying KJW is the brand for a replica Smith and Wesson ? My question still is can I get a replacement gas re-fillable magazine which would fit the pistol? Cheers
emilianoksa
KJW 1911s are usually made to take co2 and green gas mags. I imagine a KJW green gas mag would work, but you would be best to check before buying one. Are the grip and magazine wide and chunky? Looks to me like your 1911 may be a hicapa. In fact it looks like a KJW KP05 Hicapa with a different slide. If it is, then a KP05 green gas mag should fit. https://www.evike.com/products/31494/ https://www.asmc.com/Shooting-Sport/Airsoft/Pistols/Airsoft-pistol-KJ-Works-S-W-1911-PD-CO2-Blow-Back-p.html
feardorcha58
Yup, pretty chunky. I am just surprised that the airsoft place I bought it from could not replace the mag with a gas one. I do however suspect that the guy who worked there did not have a good grasp of things, to put it mildly! Thanks for your reply.
emilianoksa
I've read the Evike page again. I would be amazed if this is not a kjw KP05 hicapa. Normally they have a plain slide, but this must have been a limited run with an S&W marked slide. KJW like many manufacturers makes guns for other companies like ASG. If I am right, then anywhere that sells KJW pistols and magazines will be able to send you a green gas mag. Try Taiwan Gun Co in Poland (I assume you are in Europe) for example. This is the pistol I think it is: https://www.taiwangun.com/en/gas-4/kp-05-kjw?from=listing&campaign-id=19 And you can get CO2 or green gas mags for it. This is the green gas one: https://www.taiwangun.com/en/gas-pistol-magazines/kp-05-series-green-gas-magazine-kjw?from=listing&campaign-id=19 And this is the CO2 one, which should be identical to the one you have: https://www.taiwangun.com/en/gas-pistol-magazines/kp-05-co2-magazine-kjw?from=listing&campaign-id=19 I've heard that green gas mags are not as prone to leaking as CO2 ones. But the gun will be sluggish in low temperatures with green gas. Best to use them only in the summer. But please don't take my word for anything. I could be wrong. If you are not in Europe these magazines are available in both the US and Asia. The KP05 is a popular gun.
