HuttArmouries
Decided to practice my stippling on the frame of a £30 glock I picked up. I still need to neaten up around the edges and Im not sure I like the overall shape. Any ideas on how to make it a bit neater?
E21A
Looks good for a first attempt. Neatness is over rated! However if that’s what you want for the edges I’d suggest lining up a piece of tape and using it as a guide. My forst attempts a few a few months back below. Enid_Puceflange
Gents, what tip are you using on your soldering iron? I have been tempted for a while to do my tan coloured WE G17 , but a bit concerned of possible colour change when the heat gets to it 😬
E21A
I used a normal round one that I ground into a sharp point. Top tip, high heat and don’t press too hard or too long. I’ve found WE plastic is a bit more forgiving and nicer to work with than TM style hard plastic. Oh oh and make sure you prep the surface first. Enid_Puceflange
By prepping, do you mean getting rid of the waffle style pattern on the grip?

You want to sand it nice and flat. See below. Make sure to sand only the parts you plan to stipple though.
