New TM G17 Magazine Leaking

I bought a nearly new TM G17 from this forum which came with one magazine. When I cocked it and fired the trigger it had gas in it. After a few shots it was empty. I've tried to fill it with a bottle of Nuprol 2.0 gas and it just spits it all back out in my face. 

 

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? 

 

I've got a few WE mags for my WE 26c which appear to have an oring in the fill valve but the TM one doesn't. Is this normal?

All TM mags do that, it’s actually air in the mag that is coming out (or should be) not  propellant gas.

 

You can fit an o ring from Lees Precision Engineering and it won’t spit air out

But after an attempted fill and blast in the face, the mag is still empty.

You have to be precise with the gas canister as there is no o ring, perfectly vertical in relation to the mag

And you fill it inverted, i.e. with the fill valve up and the canister pointing down.

I solved my mag by putting the tiniest rubber o rings I've ever seen all sorted

I use the cut-off top of a gas canister, works perfectly ??
