Hi all!

New user here, I just wanted to enquire about the G&G CM16 Combat Machine L, I bought this gun about a month ago from Zero One Airsoft, I haven't yet used it at my local skirmish site because I've been adding some attachments to it and  waiting for my friend who I usually go with to get all of his stuff ready, I was just wondering if anyone had any issues with the out of box FPS being a bit too high, it's quoted at 320, but I've heard of people having it run a bit hot out of the box, if anyone has bought the same gun I would just like to ask what the general FPS was with 0.20g BB's and if it was running over 350FPS, this is without any internal modifications also

Thank you in advance!

320-330fps is very very likely on a G&G

UNLESS you are extremely unlucky of get a yellow sticker US import:

" High velocity " version

320-330fps is the norm, sometimes you might get absolutely perfect seals

(stock guns often are not ultra great seals, not bad but not perfect)

if you get perfect seals then you could be just over 350 but quite rare

Scarthe / Andy had a new CM18 which was 350 nudging 355fps first few times out

It was just scraping under chrono with hop set for 0.25's that he used they just allowed him

but soon dropped a bit with use safely under the 350 limit

Most G&G's sold in UK will be 320-330fps - thatI'm quite sure about

unless you are lucky/unlucky with a US 400 - 420 fps one that "should" have yellow sticker on box

I wouldn't sweat it, G&G's are mostly built at 300 - 300fps for most markets

Just them players the other side of pond having higher limits

Most places are 300fps like Japan

Most of Europe is 350fps but varies a smidge

Then you got Germany which auto guns have a limit of 234fps or 0.5 joules

(f**k that, only semi only guns gan go over 0.5j - jeeeez)

In both of mine they run between 310-330. (Depending on how new the spring is and how good the air seal is) Don’t worry, I can’t see it being over.

Alright, well I'm just gonna hope for the best, the only reason I worry is because I bought a CYMA CM-516 as my first airsoft gun, It quoted on PatrolBase as 345, but I bought it on 'bbguns4less.com' (rookie mistake) and on chrono that day it did 420 FPS... so I have a spare M90 Spring that reduced it to 345, so if it is over velocity then i'm sure that I can put the M90 in, thank you very much for the reply though!

Well, no yellow sticker on the G&G Box, it was quoted on Zero One at 320 FPS and I haven't seen any reviews on there that say otherwise so i'm sure it will be fine, well! thank you for the quick and informative reply I really appreciate it, did not know that in Germany there was a 234FPS limit, will make sure I don't ever go there ;)

Thank you very much for the reply, i'm sure it will be okay, and if not I have a spare M90 Spring in my old rifle that I can use!

Thanks again bud!

The cheapo Cyma's come in at 400fps from China aimed at US market

Most places " should " downgrade them, but they are mainly made for US type limits

G&G are Taiwan guns and most of their stuff is made @ 350fps or below if you check website

With US guns carrying the yellow high velocity sticker

G&G use like a M100 spring say

Cyma chuck in a cheap chinese M110 to M120 spring with chucky heavy spacer etc....

Numerous ways to get fps down, cut teeth (short stroking), cut spring

But most change out the higher spring - but tbh the UK retailer " should " ensure gun is UK spec

(in other words fit for purpose as they say, or downgrade themselves)

DECENT retailers "should" check/chrono the gun and test it prior to sale

but alas you went to wide boy Dominic from Essex geezer at BBGuns4Less

No worries - live n learn

G&G will be fine
