Skara
Yo bois, I have a 4x32 compact optic which I'm currently not using https://www.google.it/search?q=js+tactical+4x32+compact&client=ms-android-asus-wypm&prmd=vsin&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiYzJHUr9_ZAhVFYsAKHfV2Ag4Q_AUIEygD&biw=360&bih=560#imgrc=YqtxrJeHCf6MfM: (in black) I want to slap it onto my 12" M4, but I also want to have a close range sight (45° canted irons are useless if not for looks only).. I was thinking of getting this scope mount https://www.amazon.it/dp/B01B2LQEK0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_KbPOAbWABN6YV And this dot https://www.amazon.it/dp/B06W2PKXLT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_OdPOAb09S82SG To create some sort of ghetto acog.. Is this a dumb idea? A waste of money? Or is it a decent way to stop my 4x scope from collecting dust in a drawer?
AshOnSnow
Don't see why not. I had a 45 offset reflex sight on my DMR, worked okay - adjusted windage and elevation all the way to compensate for hop spin, but at the close ranges that I would actually use the reflex, the change in trajectory wasn't really enough to be an issue. And of course at longer ranges, I just used my scope which was set in line with the hop.
