MisterG
I have Mechanix gloves, though they are probably knock offs and have no problem with thickness. I get hand cramp when I do DIY with thick gloves, so I wear these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/24-Pairs-Of-Brand-New-Black-Nylon-PU-Safety-Work-Gloves-Builders-Grip-Gardening/181035416873?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=480204137155&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 , as they are much thinner than nomal builders gloves. Back of the hand is blue, so not very tactical 😉. I echo the comment on sizing, I can wear a Medium in Mechanix, but normally wear Large for other gloves. Renegade_
I have the Mechanix 0.5mm, bought mine from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LUPRN40/ I much prefer freedom of movement as well and can't really fault the Mechanix. If you want an idea of dexterity provided I can use my phones touch screen as normal while wearing them. Outside padding is minimal so any hits will still sting a fair bit but it's still much better then having bare hands!
Dachs
ive had loads of issues with gloves myself... I seem to have a weirdly large palm with shorter fingers... I found Nomex flight gloves and the Mechanix fast fit gloves to be the best, I know its been said before but size is extremely important!
