Best battery for G&G CM16 L

As the title, gonna get my brother a gun for his brthday so he doesnt need to rent, but Im stuck for what battery to get as I started with a gas gun.

If you go over to Zerooneairsoft or patrolbase I can recommend either a 8.4 volt 1600mah battery or a 9.6 v. Also remember to get a smart charger if you don't already have one. ??

Actually just came across your thread, cheers. Are yous till using the same charger from there? How well does it work?

No issues in the slightest. Still using the two batteries and the charger recommended in that thread.
