Ive found the problem. On the final mm of feed tube right before the bb would enter the chamber, was the tiniest of metal shavings pretruding out and pinching the bb.

 

so if purchasing a cnc'd hop unit, you may have to do some post maching filing to get it to work.

You shouldn't have to do anything other than fit it. Thats some piss poor quality control.

Yeah exactly mate, anyone looking at that would have thrown it in the defected bin, i only missed it on the initial assembly because i didnt even think of it. just assumed 'cos its been cnc'd it would be perfect
