kenshin
I love the SAS when I was a kid, but every since the mass brain washing from Hollywood. I want to be a Navy Seal. Here is a list of weapons which I love to get. Now that I am starting out in Airsoft. Source: http://navyseals.com/weapons-demo/ Handguns: MK23 Mod 0 .45 cal SOCOM Offensive Handgun M11 Sig Sauer P228 (9mm) Assault Rifles M4A1 with SOPMOD Accessory Kit (5.56mm) Sniper Rifles M14 Sniper Rifle (7.62mm) MK11 Mod 0 Sniper Weapon System (7.62mm) M82A1 Heavy Sniper Rifle (.50 cal) Submachine Guns HK MP5 Submachine Gun (9mm) Machine Guns M60E3 Machine Gun and MK43 Mod 0 (7.62mm) M240 (7.62mm) Combat Shotguns Benelli M4 Super 90 Shotgun Grenade Launchers M203 Grenade Launcher (40mm) Mortars M224 Mortar (60mm) Anti-Tank Rockets M136 AT4 Light Anti-Tank Rocket So far I haven't got any one of these yet. Also I have done a lot of searching. I can't get the Benelli M4 shotgun, M224 Mortar or the M136. But the rest of the list is ok. Could someone please recommend which brands I should get for the available airsoft weapon? Thanks, I now know from the forum that TM is really good. But not for everything. So I heard that different guns are better build with different brand. Also I want to learn how I can modify these weapons, so they can be even better. p.s. To save posting each and every weapons in a thread each, I decided to post it under one thread. I hope this is better.
Supporters jcheeseright Posted March 31, 2014 Supporters Share Posted March 31, 2014 that list is EXTREMELY out of date. MP5 is no longer used, neither is the M249, the M203, M60, M11, Mk23... all have been replaced with newer weapons.

I just thought they will still used tried and tested weapons, and keep them in their arsenal.

Supporters Lozart Posted March 31, 2014 Supporters Share Posted March 31, 2014 stuff about guns Regardless of whether or not you want the guns on that list or the latest and greatest, you're going to need deep pockets! I would suggest starting with an M4A1 (stock - no SOPMOD) and work up from there. Something like this: http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/tr_16_commando_top_tech.html or if you're on a tighter budget, this: http://www.proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/cm_16_carbine_combat_machine_.html either way you won't go far wrong with a G&G as a starting point. Supporters Lozart Posted March 31, 2014 Supporters Share Posted March 31, 2014 You might also want to cross check you info with this list (which again, may or may not be entirely up to date) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_individual_weapons_of_the_U.S._Armed_Forces

Thanks So a good idea to get a Assault rifle first, don't I still need a side arm? Sorry I play too much Call of Duty. I am not going to buy all of them at once, my pocket isn't that deep. But I can get one per month, since my wide also want to get into it. So I can swap guns with her. But I will still need to buy them for her. If I get a M4A1 for myself to start with, should I get the MP5 for my wife? She is only 5 feet 1 inch tall.

Don't worry about the sidearm yet, get yourself the M4A1 and yes, maybe an MP5 for the wife, it'll be fine for a lady of her stature (I certainly wouldn't suggest getting her an M249! )
Supporters Lozart Posted March 31, 2014 Supporters Share Posted March 31, 2014 Most importantly, get whichever weapons YOU want and if you end up with a full SEAL loadout then hey - winner. If not, just remember to have fun!

I am going to an air rifle shop to look around within the next few day. I am not planning on playing until around June. So I have time to save up.
