Adammd209
Hi All, I've just replaced my hop rubber and barrel in my 417. I've put Madbull blue bucking on and it was a pain to get in. When I came to test the gun, even with the hop wound all the way off, it's lifting .28's... I'm quite sure the rubber and nubbing are installed right. Will it take several thousand rounds to "Bed in" or is there a problem? Cheers Adam
Supporters jcheeseright Posted March 10, 2014 Supporters Share Posted March 10, 2014 nope, a hop rubber will 'bed in' after about 50 shots max. sounds like either your nub is too stiff/big or the rubber isn't fitted properly.
Hudson
I take it you're using the included Madbull nub? If so; I've always found that they're a lot thicker than normal nubs, so will apply too much hop. Try it with another nub and see if that helps. Adammd209
Yes I'm using it with my original nub now and it's still lifting them slightly. The rubber was extremely tight to get in the hop unit!
Mike636
The Madbull ones are even on Madbull barrels.
