Mosfets, worth it?

So i have some money left over after Xmas and was coming round to finally buying a 9.9v LiFePO Battery for my scar (http://www.componentshop.co.uk/9-9v-1300mah-25c-battery-pack.html) and wiring the gun up to deans.
Then i had the idea to buy a mosfet to give me a burst feature for cqb (im also personally against using full auto for long periods of time, waste of bbs and runs down the internals alot faster). Ive heard a lot of mixed reviews and opinions on mosfets though, are they worth it? could they somehow damage my gun? if it helps ive looked around and this seems like the nicest one: http://www.airsoftworld.net/burst-wizard-kk-plug-and-play-mosfet-king-kong-deans.html

that'll give you the burst feature you're after no problem, but it won't improve your trigger response at all or protect your trigger contacts, for that you'll need something like an ASCU or a BTC Spectre.

 

To get the most out of a mosfet it needs to be wired so that the trigger contacts 'switch on' the power circuit, but don't actually handle the current. Essentially you wire the battery into the mosfet, then there's 2 thin wires that go to the trigger (these are the on/off switch effectively) and then 2 more wires that go to the motor. When you pull the trigger it tells the mosfet to allow current to go from the battery to the motor without going via the trigger resulting in less resistance and so a better trigger response. Not only that, your trigger assembly is only having to handle microvolts and so should never arc or wear out.
