ok so im not the best technically minded....

ive looked on youtube but would also like some help from you guys, preferably in easy to understand terms..

i bought this charger

no i have x2 of these also

http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/lipo-and-life-airsoft-batteries/vp-racing-7-4v-1300mah-25c-crane-strock-battery.htm#.UqCYAMRdV8E

and also some nimh batteries

my question is...

if i have a 7.4 1300mah lipo, what settings do i use to charge at? most people have said that doing a balance charge is best as it keeps the cells all at the same level and is better for length of life. is this lipo classed as 2 cell?

yeah, that's a 2 cell lipo, you should be able to charge it at 1.3A, make sure you set the cut-off to 1300mAh and it'll take an hour to charge each one.

brilliant thank you, this will sound like a really dumbass question but i gather that the amount of cells is determined from the actual physical look of the battery? so if i have a crane stock battery that has say 4 blocks either side that would be an 8 cell battery?

is it best to storage charge a lipo if im skirmishing every other week?

for NiMh batteries don't worry about the number of cells, the cell number is only for balance on LiPos.

I wouldn't bother storage charging a LiPo if you're using them more than once every 6 months, their rate of charge loss is extremely low.

wouldnt recommend charging them at 1.3 all the time, be like doing a fast charge everytime, do about half so 0.6/0.7 will give normal balance charge

also a lipo battery tester is worthwhile, dont want the voltage dropping to low, can be pain to get back up again
