TomC
What's up guys? Just thought I should make this post to tell you a little bit about me since I've been poking my head around the forums for a few days (not posted anything). My name's Tom, I'm 19, 6"4 and from Bristol. I'm currently working as a Christmas Temp in Argos. The biggest thing going on in my life right now is that I have started the recruitment process for the Army and passed the pre-selection fitness test. Got some more interviews to go through but after that I will do the proper pass/fail selection. Hoping to join as a "Ground Crew Specialist" in the army air corps. Been interested in airsoft for quite a while now but I have never taken the plunge and actually played a game. Looking forward to getting into it and playing at one of my local sites! (Spartan Airsoft - Bristol Airsoft - Black Ops Cribbs) Has anyone played at these sites? If so, what are they like? Been looking at footage on youtube and they all look pretty decent from what I can tell. Oh and I found this forum via the youtuber "Bullet For My Enemy" (Ed?) so it's all his fault you have to put up with me. I had also seen the videos of "CKinnerley" so nice to see that he's on this forum as well! Cheers, Tom
Simon Rees
Howdy Tom. I'm in sunny Weston super Mare and play moderately regularly at Black Ops Cribbs and Spartan. Blops has 2 sites. One ex-MOD base with some buildings, open ground, tanks, APCs, Helicopters etc and is pretty good fun, the other being a woodland site with a fort and a few vehicles. Only played at their woodland site once a few weeks ago. I liked it, but they have a big paintball net up halfway through the site which gives rise to some choke points which can stagnate a game quite quickly. Spartan is a moderate sized, well thought out, woodland site with a few vehicles, a helicopter and a recently built village. I quite like the place even though I prefer FIBUA sites like F&O Asylum. Not played at the Courthouse yet (Bristol Airsoft). Have heard mixed reviews, so keeping an open mind. Will prob play there sometime, but real life continually conspires to make playing anywhere tricky. Both Blops and Spartan have pretty decent Marshalls and locals. Hope that helps and welcome aboard. Thanks for the reply! I had came to a similar conclusion that Bristol Airsoft might be a bit hit or miss. I'll give it a go and find out
Supporters jcheeseright Posted December 5, 2013 Supporters Share Posted December 5, 2013 The courthouse is ok, Ian (the guy that runs it) is a bit of a dodgy dealer but he's harmless enough. The games there do get a little bit repetitive though, there's only so many times you can assault courtroom 1 before you get bored of it!
Russe11
I'm also from Bristol and have only played at the courthouse so far. It's nice to have somewhere that you can play weekday evenings. I plan to try Spartan and cribs once I have a decent gun (just need to sort my UKARA form and wait for my Xmas bonus now).

Russe11
Well of the top of my head, I think I may be going Tuesday this week. I have a few work colleagues who also go occasionally but it works out quite expensive until you have your own equipment. I do like that weekdays are only £12.50 but its the £20 hire costs that hike the price up. Techically I'm not Bristolian, I'm originally from Nailsea so thats North Somerset, it also explains why I don't have the accent.
