Deej
Played about six events now, all down at MMA in Trematon (it's the closest to Plymouth, I think?). Signed up here to buy a gun I saw via a google search, think I'll stay a while I love the game. Looking forward to a time when my loadout will enable me to take part in those wild 16hr+ or night games. Maybe I'm mad but things like weekend-long games, having to storm a building, lock it down and hold it for the evening, brew up some dinner while half your squad snatch some shut-eye or something, I don't know if it (or where, if it does) goes down but if it does, I could go for some of that! Basically I'm looking to branch out. MMA is a fantastic site: great marshals, great atmosphere, great prices and it's nice and close by. I'm just wondering if there are any other Plymouth/Devon-local players who regularly hit up other sites, and which ones they'd recommend? Prices, website links, upcoming games, which transport methods you use, etc. Cheers guys!
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted December 1, 2013 Supporters Share Posted December 1, 2013 Depends how far you want to travel. The only site I've skirmished down there is Ground Zero @Ringwood - it's 'kin excellent, but I've never been for an ordinary club day, just the yearly National Airsoft Event weekender. JCheeseright gets around down your neck of the woods so hopefully he'll be along, or you could PM him. In this thread we're discussing a weekend event for next May - there are still Special Forces Support Group places left on the goodies side. I was thinking of doing it next year. I doubt I'll sleep over, it's only down the road from me

Heya matey, MMA is my local site too, it is indeed the closest site to plymouth but if you're willing to travel a little bit there's Skirmish Exeter which a few of us go to every now and then. There's also romeo 6 bunker run by Op-Tac which is about 20 mins away. Andrew Reid and I (both regulars at MMA) are heading up to OP: Shining Light ( https://www.facebook.com/events/468374099949379/?ref=3&ref_newsfeed_story_type=regular ) in may which is an overnighter in a big military training village on salisbury plain, our sub-team is full at the moment but there's spaces still available on the SFSG team. https://www.facebook.com/groups/493768734051766/ <--- that's the Andy-Social airsoft page on Facebook, quite a lot of plymouth stuff gets organised on there and if there's a few of us going to a game somewhere other than MMA we'll normally arrange it there. Deej
Oh wow, that Op Shining Light looks very interesting. If I could afford to drop another 85 right now I'd probably sign up and cross the logistics bridge later, but alas... It's exactly what I meant, though, so if I can still jump in when I've got a bit of cash I'm all over it, otherwise there's next year I suppose! I've dropped you a FB Friend request James. I get the feeling we've met at MMA, but I'm still a bit new so I try to keep quiet I'll have to catch up with you this coming Saturday though, I saw your name on the attending list. I've applied to that Andy-social group, too. Thanks for the welcome, fellas!
Supporters Ian_Gere Posted December 1, 2013 Supporters Share Posted December 1, 2013 You only need to pay £25 deposit for OP: Shining Light now. The other £60 isn't due until game day.
