Overlordd Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 this is a way too expensive and complex hobby for me, theres no one who can dedicate the time to help me really, i need someone to spend a good hour or so talking to me so i understand what i need and how to start the sport, and the box standard cheap guns start in at £100+ that put me at a disadvantage against other players anyway. Thanks for your help though guys, Bye -A
-Ub3R- Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 If you really wanted to play this sport. I suggest waiting till your 16-18 and have a job and can also actually buy and wear the equipment. You will also be allowed to go to any site as well.
Overlordd Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 ive found sites that i can play within a month and the money isnt a huge issue, but its very confusing so ill end up paying £500 for some useless crap....
-Ub3R- Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 I find that hard to believe. I haven't spent much. People seem to burn money on airsoft. I've never had that problem.. And what's complicated about shopping around for the best deal on a firearm and learning the rules?
Overlordd Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 thats the thing, i cant do it, im 13 and i havent got any patience what so ever, ive been searching 24/7 on my iphone and my laptop, during school hours as well. i just cant find what i need, is it possible for you to put together a shopping list as such (links) for some basic stuff so i can price it up and start saving?
Overlordd Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 Ok then ive got this down - Jing Gong G36C is it any good? and do these >>click here<< fit it?
AF-UK Founding Member Deva Posted March 31, 2009 AF-UK Founding Member Posted March 31, 2009 Yes they fit it. If you want something more dedicated then you can always send a PM
Overlordd Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 All priced up G36C = 94.95 bullet speed loader = 5.95 excel 0.2g bb (6000) x2 = 32.00 strike systems full face mask = 27.95 Viper LA Special Forces Vest (Black) = 27.95 HiCap jing gong G36 mag x2 = 19.98 TOTAL= 208.78 a lot of money but ill start saving now and get a couple jobs to help along, and im having my tooth out soon and my mums paying me for that and a birthday soon. Any advice on what i dont need on that list or need extra? -A EDIT: oh crap, do i need a KARKAKRAK license for the gun?
AF-UK Founding Member Deva Posted March 31, 2009 AF-UK Founding Member Posted March 31, 2009 First off yes you do, look here instead: http://actionhobbys.co.uk/JG-G36-AEG-2-Tone_AIWDF.aspx You can then continue to get the rest from the same store: Speedloader; http://actionhobbys.co.uk/Speed-Loader_A9XRY.aspx BB's; http://actionhobbys.co.uk/BAW-3000-High-Gr...g-BB_AFRLY.aspx Full face mask is usually provided by the skirmish site or equivalent form of protection. Mags; http://actionhobbys.co.uk/High-Capacity-Ma...-AEG_A9NVR.aspx Obviously you can shop around if you like, just I would prefer to go all from the same place.
Overlordd Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 ive got high cap mags for £20 that are based on my gun so it stays the same, ive got the BBs but there pretty expensive and the guns in 2 tone are crap ): arent they? i want the vest for the extra mags EDIT: the guns extremely expensive up against the jing gong EDIT #2: The guns out of stock
AF-UK Founding Member Deva Posted March 31, 2009 AF-UK Founding Member Posted March 31, 2009 The one I linked is a JG. Unfortunately you have no way round the whole 2 tone business untill you are over 18 and UKARA registered. EDIT: Since you can't buy it now, it doesn't matter that it is out of stock, they will have new.
Supporters Nutster Posted March 31, 2009 Supporters Posted March 31, 2009 All priced up G36C = 94.95 good choice bullet speed loader = 5.95 not needed excel 0.2g bb (6000) x2 = 32.00 good choice strike systems full face mask = 27.95 don't need to spend so much imo Viper LA Special Forces Vest (Black) = 27.95 good choice HiCap jing gong G36 mag x2 = 19.98 good choice TOTAL= 208.78 a lot of money but ill start saving now and get a couple jobs to help along, and im having my tooth out soon and my mums paying me for that and a birthday soon. Any advice on what i dont need on that list or need extra? -A EDIT: oh crap, do i need a KARKAKRAK license for the gun? yes you will need UKARA for that particular gun however the shop may offer a two-toning service just a quick niggle you wont need the speed loader for if your getting hi-caps also there is no need to spend £30 on a face mask all you need is a cheap mesh mask like this face mask its cheap and it does the job just my 2p nutster
Overlordd Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 everything except bbs and mags are in stock
AF-UK Founding Member Deva Posted March 31, 2009 AF-UK Founding Member Posted March 31, 2009 I have no idea about that. You would have to contact the store themselves and ask them. You could also google for two tone JG G36C's and see what you come up with and who has them in stock.
Overlordd Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 £124.99 for a 2 tone g36c the price keeps going up and up :/ EDIT: what can i get to hold 2 extra mags and some extra BBS?

AF-UK Founding Member Deva Posted March 31, 2009 AF-UK Founding Member Posted March 31, 2009 Since its a lot of money maybe you should rent at Dragon Valley first to make sure you like it. You wouldn't want to waste £236.88 on something you might not enjoy.
Overlordd Posted March 31, 2009 Author Posted March 31, 2009 hmmm, ill do that i think thanks -A p.s im going to collect the money first before i try it out, if theres no way of getting that amount of money i wont bother going in
AF-UK Founding Member Deva Posted March 31, 2009 AF-UK Founding Member Posted March 31, 2009 That would be a shame to save up, go in and not like it (hopefully you'll love it), and have all that cash that you saved hard for just to buy a load of airsoft stuff and then decide not to get it. I would definitely recommend taking a go first, you never know you could meet a few people you really like, and people might have stuff up for sale there on the cheap
Supporters Matt! Posted March 31, 2009 Supporters Posted March 31, 2009 1) Rent. you will be given a gun for the day with a mask and a few BB's. 2) Your buying un needed amounts of stuff which you could easily limit down. for example 5 bottles of 5000 BB's ? and a speedloader? ive never used one, infact i hate them. the g36 comes with a 420? (iirc) round hi cap. 3) Nothing wrong with wearing civi's and use pockets to hold ammo. everyone starts somehwere. 4) Its a hobby and all hobbies are expensive once you get the basics. 5) Enjoy the sport. Step 1 Rent - £30 (you should get some BB's) Step 2 You Rent again --OR-- Step 3 Buy a G36 and a bottle of BB's and a facemask. £135 There, when your working on a budget you gotta make do, use your pockets. Learn to walk before you learn to run. If you are enjoying the sport, expand your loadout and then you can buy extra magazines and vests etc Learn to walk before you learn to run.
Supporters Nutster Posted April 1, 2009 Supporters Posted April 1, 2009 i would take top dogs advice seeing as i bought a gun before even trying the sport and in the end didn't like the gun i had causing me to spend more money on another gun (i now have 8 btw) nutster
Overlordd Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 That makes more sense And for my 14th birthday party Guess what I'm doing.... And I will stick to one extra HiCap 2 (good amount I think?) Bottles of BB Not bothering with the belt That should bring the price bellow £200 I'm hoping thought id make a new post so theres more chance of people reading Brand New Shopping List [Click Too See!] (again:P) :- Mesh Goggles = £7.99 Viper Neoprene Comfort Mask = £7.99 Speed Loader (only get one HiCap with gun and i dont wanna buy another) Two-Tone JG MP5 A4 = £119.95 'BAW Tube' 5.5K BB Super-Deal (Single bottle) 5500 0.20g BB's = £8.99 'BAW Bag' 3K BB Super-Deal (Single refill bag) 3000 0.20g BB's = £4.99 Replica MICH 2000 helmet (mum has "safety issues ) = £24.99 TOTAL=£142.20 (without shipping and incl. VAT) only questions, is that enough stuff, is it too much, and is the gun any good? (gun was recommended by staff from Dragon Valley ((the one they use for there rentals)) and is there any good cheap sights on that website? Thanks -A
Supporters Nutster Posted April 1, 2009 Supporters Posted April 1, 2009 as I've already said you won't need a speed loader for a hi-cap and why waste money on buying a sight, the manufacturers include some for free (iron sights) nutster
Overlordd Posted April 1, 2009 Author Posted April 1, 2009 the high cap holds a quite a low amount for a high cap and for the convenience of an easy reload 4 quid is nothing
