two_zero
copy pasted my post from another forum: Alrite, so my gears striped the other day *sigh*, well at least it was with only 5 minutes left of the day. Anyway so I started to disassemble it. been following this video, no probs until approx 5.38. The cabled shown in the back of the gearbox is in the front of mine, and what more, wont nudge, not from the pressure I am willing to pull with before confirming that they are really suppose to come lose anyway. Anyone that owns a CA and could help me out a bit Took some pictures, not sure if they can be of any help?
Supporters Nutster Posted November 3, 2012 Supporters Share Posted November 3, 2012 From what I can tell from your pics, that's where the wires are soldered to the switch in the gearbox, so they won't come loose. Now I haven't watched the vid but try looking at the back again as there should be 2 spade connectors on the right hand side, just slide them off and you should be able to get the gearbox out. Hope this helps
two_zero
yea I agree it's prob soldered and nope, nothing in the back, must be a CA specific gearbox design.... maybe I should remove the plastic "head" on the battery connector on the other side of the cable instead? *just to clarify, the video is not of mine, and has the connectors in the back that you can slide off.
